Great Socks
This will always be the "Go To" for good quality socks unless they change their quality.

Overall it seems like a great Sock. I think it's slightly overpriced.

Buy American, Buy Crescent Socks Company's Power Cushion (a replacement for the old Costco Head socks)
Like many of the folks who bought these socks, I was looking for a replacement for the Head cushioned socks that used to be sold at Costco (I have both the black and the white). I was overjoyed when my research found this.Excellent: They are American Made. They are made by Crescent Sock Company of Niato, TN, and they should proudly state that they are American Made.Good: Nicely cushioned, they seem well made (although I have just been wearing them for a few days).Neutral: Some reviewers have said that they seem thinner. They are, but I think only on the leg portion, and that's because I think its using more lycra than the original socks.Bad: They run a little smaller than the original ones. Unless they end up stretching over time, the foot isn't as big as my older socks (I wear a size 12 - maybe its a compromise of the manufacturer).Another reviewer said that he had compared his to an unopened package - I'm guessing his was a pretty recent purchase of the older socks and that Crescent was already making them for head at that point. My old socks (which are half a decade old) are definitely thicker in the leg. I weighed them with a coarse, 2 lb scale and they look to be the same weight.Overall, I would recommend a buy. I will be buying more, simply because its hard to find great socks, and I have to congratulate an American Company like Crescent for making a great pair.

Really nice socks
Very comfortable and appear to be well made. Will know in a year if they hold up.

Nice cushiony socks
I love these socks. They are the same ones that Costco used to sell except these are Large and the ones at Costco were XL.

STRATEGIC DESIGN AND FABRIC COMPOSITION MAKE THESE SOCKS WINNERS
Although I prefer socks that are completely uniform in material design throughout, I chose to try this product as an alternative approach. The extra sole, heel, and toe reinforcement suggest they will wear well.So far, I am happy with the socks. In addition to the design/reinforcement features that should add durability and long-term wear, I was intrigued by the interesting fabric composition. The accompanying package/product information indicates that these socks are composed of 70% cotton, 19% acrylic, 8% nylon, 2% polyester, and 1% LYCRA spandex. It seems to be that unique fabric composition that renders the socks to be reasonably comfortable and durable.Concerning the size, because I am a size 14, but these socks are officially LARGE, I was concerned initially that they would be too small for me. In my case, they actually fit just right, but definitely no space left over.Given the design, comfort, and price, I recommend these socks. The only reason I personally give them a 4-star instead of a 5-star is that my personal preference is for socks that are designed for a completely uniform fabric feel wherever they touch skin. Precisely because of the design features, these socks do not have that uniform feel throughout.

Someone had mentioned that these socks were like the Costco crew cotton socks that were discontinued for sale some time ago...I purchased these based on that review....but I think these socks are a good knock off of the cotton crews once sold there. It seems to me that these are lighter in weight and thinner due to more polyester fibers...Are these bad socks?...I will review how well these ware once I've punished them of a period of time through wearing in my daily work...Finally, I don't see these as the same product as the Costco offered crews of the past....Maybe in fact Costco stopped carrying that product because of increased cost or quality down sizing...I may buy again if these give good service over all my trekking...These look, but do not feel the same cushioned like feel...I had one pair of the Costco crews left still unworn and doubled inside of each other as were packaged from the factory to compare...UMM...This is my take. Very good cushioned sock
This is essentially the same sock that Costco sold under the Head brand, for years, excepting that it holds the black color better (more washings, does not turn blue). These have a lot of padding to them, this can help the foot be more comfortable in shoes. Very well made.

Top Quality, and Comfortable!
I have worn these socks for many years. I originally purchased the Head brand at Costco, but they were discontinued and replaced with thin, synthetic socks. The last ones that I bought from Crescent Sock Company are three years old and showing some signs of wear, as expected, but they are still my most comfortable socks!Other brands that I tried have too much synthetic material and feel unpleasant, or had "vice grip" elastic that was painful on the calves. These socks are mostly cotton, the sole is nicely cushioned, and the elastic band stays up but is not tight on the calves. The best part is that Crescent Sock Company only sends within the US, but Amazon Global sends to Germany, where I'm living now. I placed the order on Wednesday using the least expensive delivery option, and they arrived on Friday! International delivery in three days, excellent quality socks, and very comfortable as usual. I'm a customer for life, long as I can keep finding these socks!
