great
Marvel has always had strong characters and great story arcs.

Great book and a piece of my childhood.
The characters were the reason I purchased the book. I have holes in my original run and these TPB's are a great way to fill those holes and runs.Unfortunately, the description was not quite clear enough. When I recieved my book there was a huge sticker across the back labeling the book. I was not happy with that or the bent split corner. Their description of "Like New" needs some work. As a collector and a book enthusiast I would like to know this informarion before I buy.Overall, the pages were great, color was bright and the spine was good.

This was a great run of a very colorful team.
While set 1000 years or so in the future, it is also interesting because of all the characters (or relatives of characters) from our timeline are involved in the story lines.

A low point....
Jim Valentino's run wraps up with this volume, and you can see some ambitious ideas that for whatever reason wound up falling apart. The art quality of the stories in the first two volumes takes a hit here, both because of fill in work and with Valentino's own for some reason- perhaps the deadlines were starting to throw him off?At any rate, the writing, not the strongest piece of the series, also takes a hit here, with a few potentially interesting storylines- notably about the benefits and negatives of Starhhawks unusual relationship with time-don't really develop or payoff. And there are a lot of moments that come across as "this is happening because we need to get to the next thing now". Overall kind of a dud.
