## Description

From the manufacturer

Review: A great budget cpu that punches above its weight - I bought this CPU for a budget 1080p gaming pc for my nephew. Originally I planned to use the 3300x in the build but they have been unavailable for months. Anyway I built the pc around this with 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz corsair vengeance lpx ram, an Asrock B550m Pro 4 mobo, RX 580 8gb Msi Armour gpu, 1TB WD nvme ssd, 2TB Toshiba 7200rpm HDD, 500w Be quiet system 9 psu, GameMax Phantom Gaming Case with tempered glass side panel, all new for £600. I'm really happy with the performance of this rig, as is my nephew. Getting a 4 core 8 threaded cpu for this money is superb (I paid £95), and it is an excellent performer. Even RDR2 chugs along nicely at 60fps with medium to high settings. My I7 7700k cost over £300 3 years ago and the performance isn't far behind it. There are a couple of things to note when building a PC with this chip. It has no onboard gpu so you will need a discreet graphics card otherwise you will not get a display. Secondly I initially had issues getting the new build to post. I turned the power on and the fans powered up but that was it. Luckily have built a few pc's and thought this was a RAM issue. So I pulled out the sticks from slots 1and 3 and tried 2 and 4. Still no luck. I then put a single stick of ram in slot 2 and it posted. I then installed windows, shut the pc down and installed both sticks in their dual config and hey presto all worked fine. I did have a further problem as the I could not get the ram to work at it's designated 3200mhz, I had to settle for 3000mhz, though I'm sure a bios update would solve this. An included cpu cooler is also nice to see, and it works just fine, though if you like to overclock a beefier solution is recommended. It's certainly a lot better than the old intel stock coolers. Anyway a great value cpu, well done AMD.
Review: Decent multi threaded CPU - Bought this to put together an entry level gaming build. So far, does a great job at most of what I throw at it. Multithreading is good for everyday computing, and gaming seems to be just fine (GTA V on Very High runs fine, for example). The temps are a bit hotter than I'd like, but I suspect this could be due to the cheaper stock thermal compound it comes with. Nevertheless, it's not running so high that I feel the need to change it. Overclocking is simple, and at idle the power consumption is super low. Very decent processor for the price all in all.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I ordered the item on 13-07-19 and amazon promised delivery for 20-07-19. amazon now estimate october delivery! anyone else had this happen to them?**
A: Ordered 07/09/20. told it would be delivered 14th now it says 28th! But it now has gone up and says you can get it next day?? Surely Amazon should be policing this selling promising delivery dates to get you to buy only to change it after you purchase?!

**Q: Can someone tell me how much difference is there between the 3400 and 3600?**
A: The 3400G comes with onboard Vega11 graphics so you can run this cpu without a dedicated graphics card. The 3600 has more cores and threads yes but you will have to spend money on a GPU. For extreme budget builds that can still perform well, the 3400g is better. If you already plan to buy a GPU the 3600 is the better option.

**Q: The supplied wraith prism rgb cooler is generating an anoying rattle/buzz/resonance even though its perfectly installed ,anyone has this issue?**
A: The wraith prism, while looking nice with its on board RGB isnt a very good cooler for any CPU above a Ryzen 5 3600, anything higher and the RPMs tend to max out as you push the CPU. Upgrade to a more high end cooler, for air coolers i suggest with the Noctua D15 chromax or Be Quiet! Dark rock pro 4, for AIO the Artic liquid Freezer 2 (I use this and it beat temps at max load of a more expensive Nzxt Kracken Z63 I had which i ended up returning) the Arctic liquid Freezer 2 imo is the best AIO in terms of temps, also has a VRM cooling fan, its super quiet no RGB but with such low temps at max load who cares

**Q: Would this work with the go omen 30l customer motherboard?**
A: Unable to answer as the Omen 30L is an HP Desktop PC series name. This series is made to suit either AMD or Intel Processors. You need to find the Motherboard model number and check the specification of suitable processors for the motherboard within the PC, but in general if it has an AMD AM4 socket then it should work, but maybe need a bios update. Further investigation would be required prior to purchasing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice little cookie for a budget game pc built.
*by K***R on 12 December 2020*

Super value product. Plays game with no issues. If you want a pc for every day use and occasional gaming with Xbox game pass. This and a graphic card like the rx580 or nvidia gtx 1060 or RTX 1650 works really well together. Any thing else seems like a wast of money. I have used blender on this and it did not disappoint considering it cost me less than 100 uk pounds. I have tried it with Nvidia gtx 1070 and AMD Radeon graphic card RX 5700xt. It played most games just as good as my 7th gen. intel i7 7700k that cost me a fortune to purchase a few years ago. Product was delivered well packaged with cooler and arrived within a day of placing the order. I strongly recommend checking out the Ryzen 3 3300x. Once availability improves. I couldn’t get my hand on one hence this purchase. But I am very happy with my purchase.
