Q: how do i cook this ?are there english instructions on bag?

I add it to boiling water and allow it to cook until tender. I basically cook them like ramen noodles. I am on a tteokbokki kick so I have this often. I've ordered this more than once and LOVE IT.

Q: Is there alcohol in it?

No they are just the korean type rice cakes thick round and about 2" long

Q: Are these rice cakes gluten / wheat free?

Pretty sure this is made with glutinous rice.do not currently have a package to check

Q: Do I have to soak the rice cakes in water before boiling them?

Soak in water for about 1 hour to make it softer. It depends on personal preference.
