Batteries For Infrequently Used Calculators.
what can ya say? A battery pack is a battery pack. Being a materialist psychopath, I have over acquired a lot of stuff. One being the TI Inspire calculator. I "thought" that I'd get a lot of use out of it. (= wrong). Other than figuring out that it works, it sees virtually zero use. My TI-36X Solar sees a lot of use... Why? Because the TI-36X is orders of magnitude simpler - and, I more or less knew how to work it. The Inspire slices, dices and makes Julian fries... - but, I never found an application were all those features were a justification to use it. Here is where the psychosis kicks in. Even though I don't use it, it still has to work. Letting the battery discharge to zero and letting it sit for a couple of years was bad for the original battery. It would no longer recharge to 100%... may be a soft 75%. Oh, and the battery charge state monitor only does 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100. Not the most resolved monitor. ok... This product "looked" the same. The connector was the same. The old batter popped out easily. This one settled back in easily. Just two screws holding on the battery cover. Now, it "did" take about a day for this new battery to get up to 100%, which "I guess" is not all that unusual. Now, I can rest at night - secure in the knowledge - that the calculator that I won't use tomorrow - is good to go. Sanity is boring.

Simple replacement and battery duration is as it were originally
Rechargeable Battery for TI Nspire / TI Nspire CAS, CX, CX CAS / TI 84 Plus C SE. After 2 years the rechargeable battery on the TI84 Color reached running duration of mere 4-8 hours after complete charge. This unit was purchased to replace the OEM battery. The changing of the battery simply required unplugging the battery connection and replacing with the new battery. The process took less than a minutes. You will need a small phillips screw driver to take out two screws on the bottom. After full charging, the battery lasts as it did originally. After couple of month, the battery is still in good condition. Since the original battery “died” after couple of years of use, I expect similar usage out of the replacement. But, we shall see.

This replacement battery is the real deal
The replacement battery I received has the Texas Instruments logo and the seller is Texas Instruments so I just gotta assume it is the real deal. I'm glad to report the battery fixed the problem I was having with my calculator: I bought a TI Nspire CX CAS three years ago and use it about four months out of the year. I was getting the calculator ready for a new semester, but when I plugged it in to recharge it, the boot up process would automatically restart whenever it showed half a blue progress bar on the loading screen, over and over in an endless cycle. Removing the battery but keeping the calculator plugged in to a wall outlet generated the same problem. An internet search gave a variety of solutions, one of which was to replace the battery. None of the other solutions worked, so I ordered this battery and it shipped quickly and has solved the problem.

The battery in the child’s calculator died right before finals. Panic set in and we found this little gem. Quick delivery and matches the original.
