Very Used & Disgusting!
I have no idea how the product actually works, but I spent $125 for a very used product. Hair all over it, the velcro clogged with hair, grass, whatever. It had obviously been well used and is disgusting. I'm sorry that people return their used items, but it doesn't mean those items should be sent out to a new customer! I can't get a photo to work on here, or I'd attach a picture.

this seems to be helping
We've watched our 12yr old lab mix's ability to stand up quickly and walk easily deteriorating over time. His disposition is so very cheerful and happy that we know he is ok; just his body is struggling. So I went looking for an option to help him beyond meds and surgery and stumbled upon this item and others like it. This one seemed to be a reasonable match in price, quality, and construction. Now that it has arrived, I think this has been a good choice. He seems to like having it on since he is more able to stand and walk than he has been for awhile. He gets very excited to put it on. This sometimes makes it hard to put on, but eventually with a few adjustments here and there it gets set up well for him. If i were to improve this, I would make the rear portion a bit more stable and broad. I might put vertical stabilizers on the sides. I think i would increase the amount of material in the back to do a better job of cupping (wrapping) the hips. I think I would also swap the d-ring buckle at the top for a clip like is around the front portion. Overall Im glad that I found this and I would recommend it for dogs who struggle to stand and walk due to hip dysplasia symptoms.

Lack of actual hip support
Very high quality harness, however, the hip support panels seemed too create very little support. Whatsoever.

Hard to put on
It’s really difficult to put on, especially a fluffy dog with hip issues who can’t stand long.

Had high hopes
I’m not saying it’s all the company or products fault but I’ve tried numerous times to make this work. I put it on my dog and she just collapses and won’t move. I thought it was like a cat when you put them in clothes (yeah, I know, don’t ask…) but no amount of trying has changed.Additionally, the leg wrap part is way too big, and i had to rig it up to work. but I couldn’t have gone smaller on the rest - so sizing isn’t quite right. It’s expensive. It would have had value if it worked and we could use it. But we can’t.

This has helped my dog quite a bit
Make sure that you watch the video for instructions on attaching this properly. You probably will have to make some adjustments here and there. This has been a big help, particularly outdoors where he was having a lot of problems. Now we go on regular walks, although at a slower pace and not as far. Before using this brace, he was having a lot of problems walking and going to the bathroom.

Not effective
This did absolutely nothing for my dog. He wouldn’t even try to walk with it on despite numerous adjustments. I intended to send it back but had to go out of town, my 4 day work trip turned into 3 weeks and now I’m past the return window so essentially I have a $125 piece of neoprene and a dog who still suffers from hip dysplasia.
