LIM'S Genuine Leather Camera Half Case Dovetail Plate Built-in for Fuji FUJIFILM X100V Case Black

Perfect fit and finish. I like the extra height it provides, makes it easier to grip. The contrast stitching is not too bold.

It’s well built and fits the X100V perfectly without getting in the way of the tilt screen or battery door. Taking the SD card out with the case on is a little trickier, but not too awkward. Protects the camera, looks great, and adds a little extra depth for an even better grip.

This is truly a beautiful, high quality half case. I want to love it but here’s why I don’t:1. Adds a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight and size to the X100V. I don’t at all think the listing does a good job of describing this. In the only image of the case shown from the bottom, the battery is partially ejected so that you can’t really tell just how tall the metal portion of the case is. It’s just under a half an inch.2. In addition to the significant increase in overall size of my camera, the hollowed out portion of the metal opposite the cutout for the battery door is not comfortable. I hold the camera with my pinky underneath to help support the body, but can’t do it with this grip because the edges of the metal cut into my finger.3. While the leather is beautiful, I find it to be a bit too slick to grip the camera well. I always feel like it’s going to slip out of my hand. The textured feel of the camera itself seems more secure.These are dealbreakers for me, but if you don’t mind increased size (I’m trying to carry this thing around in my handbag with all my other daily carry items) and/or you hold the camera differently than I do, these might not be issues for you. I can’t emphasize enough how beautifully made it is and how obviously high quality. I really do wish it worked for me. I think it’s well worth the price.

Tried the Gariz half case and JJC grip before finding this one. Needed it for two key reasons: better grip, and for the offset dovetail plate so I can use my Peak Capture clip without blocking the battery door. Nice snug fit, doesn’t add too much weight , and looks natural. Would definitely recommend, especially as it comes in nearly $30 cheaper than the Gariz case.

I have the Gariz half case on my X100F and have been very happy with it with one exception, the case impedes the use of the aperture ring on the X100. I read another review on Amazon of the Gariz case for the X100V and the reviewer suggested that this half case was a good alternative and that it did not cause as much interference when adjusting the aperture ring. I decided to give the LIM’s case a try for my new X100V. After receiving this case, I can say I am happier with this one versus the Gariz (still a very nice half case). The aperture ring is much easier to get your fingers on with this case, and as a bonus, you have a dovetail style tripod mount built in.The only downside for me was the color selection. I really like the deep brown offered in the Gariz cases (I have two). I thought that the LIM’s brown was a bit light for my taste and went with the black.

The leather and stitching is top notch. The aluminum base plate with the acra swiss attachment and battery opening is awesome. Super convenient to throw this on a tripod. Allows you to center the lens in the head (original tripod mount of the camera is off center). Better than an L bracket for a camera MOSTLY used handheld. Highly recommended.

Excellent for my new X100V. Gives it plenty of protection while also looking great. Would buy again.

Expensive for what it is, leather quality didn’t impressed me either.
