No, despite what the seller claims, none of the bits had any identifying information on them, and only a few (that are colour coded, but does not tell you what colour means what) are in a box. Otherwise there's just a load of loose bits in bags, and no way to tell what they are without measuring them.

Will it drill through tin can?

The larger drill bits are certainly sharp enough to go through a tin can. Take it nice and slowly!

Ho, would this work on gemstones, such as amethyst?

Hi, I don't think this would work on gemstones. These would require a Brill bit which would be tipped with diamond dust. Also a much higher speed would be required.
