This part is fine. Ignore the bad reviews. If you get a defective one exchange it.
This is not the OEM part but it is the right part. The length is correct, the adhesive is fine and the size matches. The only difference between this and OEM part is the price. I see reviews about flammability. This particular seal is no where near the flame or electric element. It's the upper exhaust side and the upper temp there should be around 165f. All of your clothes are closer to the heat source. And yes if you want weather stripping I suppose that would work too, although I don't know temp rating on adhesive. But again the temp in this particular area is nowhere near combustion temps.

Fits perfect
Fit the dryer perfect. Although it was wider than the original, there is plenty of room. Easy to make a circle gasket.

*WARNING* This stuff is HIGHLY flammable! PLEASE pay attention to this review!
When shopping for this insulation I heard (warned) time and again how weather stripping is dangerous to use in the dryer because it is flammable. So I bought this MUCH more expensive option and waited for it to arrive (where I could have bought weather stripping at store immediately). While prepping the dryer to install this (cleaning, taking off worn foam seal, vacuuming out lint) I noticed the company taped a PAPER PARTS LIST in a PLASTIC BAG much closer to the dryer flame than this stripping will EVER get. So I ran a test on flammability.I used a normal lighter outside on a hard surface.Tested: 1. Old seal that I pulled off the dryer2. This new seal that is supposed to be used in the dryer3. Some foam weather stripping I pulled off my outside door.SHOCKING!***1. Old seal light on fire with a few seconds under flame and burned slowly over maybe 30 seconds.2. This stuff light right up and burn as though it was MEANT to be burned to nothing w/in a few seconds...really bad/scary!3. The Weather stripping WOULD NOT LIGHT! It just melted into a thin line pile of goo under constant flame.I am NOT suggesting you use weather stripping in your dryer. I am suggesting you test any product you get to make sure it does what it is supposed to.I am going to attempt to get a refund on this stuff as I think it is dangerous to use. I am going to warn Amazon as well!

Glad I got 2 after top lint catcher gasket went bad, I didn't notice the lower one too
Did the job. I thought I was getting an extra... but I hadn't even noticed the lower gasket also needed replacing until I set in to do the job. Glad I had 2. I wish they were a little longer so I could cut off the excess. Top one was plenty long, but the lower one fell a little short. I just cut a bit off the top & put it on the bottom, so it did work out.

Very sticky backing.
LIKED PRICE. Did not like the difficulty of peeling the backing off of the tape adhered to the insulation which I am sure weakened the sticking power when put back on. Accidently kept pulling the tape off of insulation. It needs a tab or something.

A bit short.
Seal needs to be about 1/2" longer. Maybe if you stretch it during installation it would fit. But once its on there are no do-overs. If you try to remove it to reposition, the seal pulls off from the adhesive. Had to go to Lowe's to buy a piece to fill the gap.

No adhesion
There was no adhesion on either side of the foam
