Zippo 65827 Butane Lighter Insert - Double Torch

Good quality as you might expect from Zippo and works perfectly. As with all of the Jet lighters you need to bleed it between refills, which isn’t mentioned. Much better than an overfilled petrol lighter that burns your leg through your pocket. Plus no petrol smell.

I moved to jet lighters from Zippo a few years ago as I started smoking cigars occasionally and didn't want to carry around multiple lighters. I had a really expensive Xikar lighter which was great but just fell apart within a couple of years. I was in the market for another and came across this. Now it's actually about half price direct from Zippo, but they've been incredibly popular and sold out before I got to them so I didn't mind paying the extra here.I can see why they're so popular. Zippo have managed something quite extraordinary here and made their lighters relevant for cigar smokers, they've opened up a massive segment. And they've done it well, it's a really capable lighter.I actually found that the Zippo branded gas is quite low quality and full of impurities and can block the jets quite easily. You may find a better filtered brand like Newport works a lot better, and is ironically much cheaper.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. It's actually made me buy an Armor Zippo off the back of it, so congratulations, Zippo, you've successfully bought me back into the fold.

Yeah no, utter garbage. I have had the fuel zippo for years, it still very much works, I was just too lazy to service it. So then I found this one, but its the worst product ever. Ull have to fill it up ever so often to light, flame control is just useless, how could they possible make this and put their name on it, its embarrassing. Nevertheless, this one goes to the drawer, I serviced and clean the old and wont do that mistake again of buying another zippo, or any other electric lighter in fact.

I've been using butane lighters for a few years now and I am very fond of them. Unfortunately most Zippo inserts I've found unreliable and to stop working after a short while, not to mention the iffy flame quality.This item suffers slightly from these issues. Keeping a sustained flame is not advised. However overall, I found it much sturdier and functional than the off-brand ones I had, and the twin jets add an extra bit of flair to it.

This is what I needed, originally I have a lighter fluid with wick etc, but wanted to keep my case lighter as it has my initials on it, this butane zippo fits nicely and less worry over lighter fluid

This Insert is perfect! I used it to revive an old Zippo case with a really cool design, and it fits and works flawlessly. The double torch is powerful and reliable, providing a clean, consistent flame. It’s a great way to modernize a classic Zippo without losing the iconic style. Firstly i'm a fan of Zippo products and really wanted this to be great. I gave it a months trial and heres my findings.The insert didnt fit my case very well in fact opening the lid twice caused it to cantilever the insert upwards to the point it wouldnt close. I should note that i tried it in another case and it fitted tightly so this is probably case related rather than the insert itself but i have heard of others with the same issue.The twin flame is impressive and useful for cigar smokers or lighting candles quickly etc. It can be adjusted to huge aswell if thats your thing. However it really doesn't hold much gas at all. It runs out really quick, in fact it runs out so quickly you start to doubt if it'l fire when you next need it. This is my biggest issue with it. If you were someone who required a lighter several times a day I think you would need the lighter in one pocket and a can of butane in the other.Build wise it seems of a much lesser quality to the original fluid style, its not as heavy duty feeling and the chimney doesnt have the original style holes which in my humble opinion cheapens the look.I also noticed that its not windproof in the slightest. A gentle breeze could knock it out.I read in other reviews that people were having issues after refuelling and found a tip online to adjust the limiter screw on the bottom to ensure it can work consistently and with lesser grades of butane. This does seem to work but when you are doing this... you are wondering why you should need to modify a brand new item to make it work consistently and after refills? Again kind of strange for a big brand like Zippo to have such an issue.Final verdict. I have refitted the original insert.
