Hooked!
No/minimal spoilers! When writing a review I like to give as much detail as possible without giving too much away and spoiling it for the next reader.I enjoyed this book and I am starting straight away with book number 2 Rebellion. This book is a dark enemies to lovers romance with many many triggers - kidnapping, death, drugs and violence to name a few. It has very mature content and I feel the warning given at the start of the book for 18+ only readers is definitely justified.I liked this book for a number of reasons. The overall story line is good and there are plot teasers from the very get go that intrigue the reader and hook them into continuing their read. There is good character development throughout the book and the shift from enemies to lovers is gradual and flows nicely with the overall read of the book. For me, this book has an edge over other similar tropes that I have read; because the female lead is not meek, weak or mentally or physically incapable of looking after herself - she is badass and I like it.I have rated the book 4 stars. It would have gained 5 stars but in my personal opinion, I feel like the dark and mature content did not suit the 'high school/teenager' setting of the book. I know this is listed as a young adult book and I was fully aware of the high school trope in this book but for me the dark content was a bit too dark to be paired with this kind of trope, it just felt like they didn't belong together. This is the first book I have read by Siobhan Davis and throughout the book I got strong Penelope Douglas vibes as it was similar to her book Corruption - which is a good thing as Penelope is a fab writer. I will definitely read the rest of this trilogy and more books by this author.

Four stars
Stars given on level of engagement;5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .

Implausible and confusing but addicting
Harlow has just lost her father and gatecrashes a party to find her boyfriend and lose herself in him for a while. But when she gets there he’s balls deep in someone else. Part in retaliation, part in self-destruction, she ends up having group sex with the four main guys of the junior chapter of the Sainthood - a local gang.Four months later she transfers to a new school - due to a leaked sex tape of the encounter - and finds that the four guys have transferred there too. And they’ve decided to make her life a living hell.To make matters worse, she returns home one day to find her mother is engaged to a man named Neo. The president of the entire Sainthood gang. A mere four months after her father died. Could life get much worse?Firstly, you need to 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮 suspend your disbelief for this book. Once I did that and just accepted everything as totally plausible, I really enjoyed it! On the one hand I can understand why the author needed them to be high school kids for the storyline, but on the other hand it just makes everything that much more unbelievable. There were a few points where I was actually quite confused though. It almost felt as if I’d missed a big chunk of the plot, and these moments were meant to be penny-dropping, plot bombs. I think my reaction should have been “no way!” or “oohhhhh ok that makes so much sense now” but instead I was very much “eh? What have I missed? I don’t get it”. So that was a shame.Mostly ignoring the glaring unlikelihood of the bigger plot and just focusing on Harlow and her relationship with the guys, I found it a really enjoyable read. I don’t understand her relationships with them at all. It’s incredibly toxic. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy reading about it!Told solely from Harlow’s POV it does keep you guessing as to whether or not they’re tricking her or double crossing her constantly. Is it all a set up or is it real?It ends on a cliffhanger so I’m absolutely going to have to read book two now to find out how she gets herself out of the mess that seems to be her life.

This book was amazing and i cant wait to read the second in the series.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I cant believe what I have been missing. This book is the first in this series and once I started it I couldn't put it down it was totally captivating and is a must read for everyone. This is The Sainthood Boys of Lowell High #1. This is reverse harem book was a fantastic read with twists and turns and enough dram to keep you gripped right until the very end.Harlow has and is going through so much and after the loss of her father she is determined to find out who is responsible and get pay back for him. She is a totally bad ass who really knows how to take care of herself. She is independent and her father taught her everything that he knows to prepare and protect her.The guys Saint, Caz, Galen and Theo are hot and totally bad ass themselves with all there own secrets. They are all hot and the chemistry that they all have together with Harlow is of the charts. Only after everything that went down Harlow doesn't know who to trust and who is on her side because at this point even her own mother who is engaged to the president of Sainthood isn't.This book really does have it all with secrets, lies, drama, angst, steam and it will have you on the edge of your seat with a huge cliff hanger at the end and this dark romance book was a awesome read and I literally NEED, NEED book #2 NOW!!!!
