O'Keeffe's Lip Repair Tube Cooling Relief 8ml

I have suffered dry cracked lips all my life and tried everything as I suffer all through the summer, autumn and winter. Spring is the only time that my lips can cope with anything less than Blistex Relief Cream.Blistex Relief Cream became impossible to find in summer 2020 so I tried out the blue topped screw up lip balm version of O'Keefe's. It was just about OK through summer for me but I had to use it very often, I also used the little overnight pot several times each night which helped. If you have a mild issue though I would recommend both of those products.Now it's got colder it doesn't do the trick for me though so I went to try and find Blistex Relief Cream in shops and online anywhere I could - to no avail.No I hear they have changed the formula and it's not as good so I won't be going back to it.I found a tube of this sitting lonely on the shelf in a local shop and decided to try it out - which I have been - though I haven't been terribly good at having the one tube on me all the time - so it wasn't quite doing it.I need a tube in my bag, one in my pocket, one at my bedside and one in my make up bag - basically!This week I tried another product on Amazon called Aquaphor - expensive at >£7 and I stopped using my O'Keefe's to give it a try over 24hrs - I found it sticky, thick, nasty and it didn't give me the immediate relief it states. It also made my face mask stick to my lip - which really hurt!I kept trying but hated the gunky feel of it and the fact it wasn't helping. It needed a lot of repeat applications.The past 12 hrs I have been using this O'Keefe's tube religiously. I find I use a little more than with Blistex - but that's OK. I have smooth soft lips again!To be fair, when my lips were very bad I would need to use Blistex a lot initially.The things about the O'Keefe's tube that are equal to Blistex:The tingly feeling upon applying.It's a lightweight formulaIt works fast.The things that are better:The tube is sturdier so the lid is not going to form a hole in the top like Blistex would.It doesn't cascade out of the tube when it's cold like Blistex would so you don't end up wasting it.Unfortunately, same as Blistex, I now can't find this in the shops (which is one of the reasons I tried Aquaphor based on it's reviews) - but I have now subscribed on here for deliveries of the O'Keefe's tube.I'm a convert!.If you were a Blistex fan - get some of this! Use it regularly initially and you will find a difference like I have within 12 hours. Yesterday I had sore patches and skin peeling in several areas - all of those issues are gone.

Swear by this brand. I suffer with really dry cracked lips and o'keeffes lip balms is all I use now! After just a couple of applications you can see and feel the difference

But sits on your lips and doesn't absorb

This stuff is amazing. The only thing that helped my cracked lips and now stops it from happening again.So good I get mad with myself if I forget to take it to work and probably going to order another one just to make sure I always have one on me

I suffer from dry, sore lips frequently and apply this every night before bed and haven't suffered ever since I started using it.For such a small tube it seems to last me over a year. Even my skeptical, beauty therapist wife is now a convert despite it not being from one of her expensive brands!Exceptional value

Like many others I came across this product when I was searching for a Blistex alternative product. I have used Blistex for years and loved it as much as you can love a lip relief cream. This O'Keeffe's product definitely works and I would get it again if Blistex is still unavailable when I next need some but Blistex would still be my go to lip cream.My lips have been cracked and very sore recently and O'Keeffe's has repaired them and soothed them. I don't get quite the same soothing relief feeling I got with Blistex but it did certainly help.I realise this review has become quite a direct comparison with another product which I wouldn't normally do but I think a lot of people looking at these reviews are also looking for a Blistex alternative.This lip cream is non tinted and non scented which is what I wanted.I've used this product overnight but no reason I couldn't use it during the day.
