Berberine works for Type II Diabetes along with other supplements, proper diet, and exercise
I was able to take myself off of Glipizide by taking Berberiine instead. I take 3 pills a day (1500 mg), one before each meal and it works. If I only eat twice then I take the third dose before bed. Of course, I take other supplements like Olive Leaf Extract and Curcumin (Turmeric) and exercise regularly. My diet rounds out the package. All three, (diet, exercise, and supplements) allow me to live my life without having to take prescription drugs for my Type II diabetes. I was very happy when I was able to do this. Since then I have also stopped taking Liprinosil for high blood pressure because natural supplements, exercise, and diet work again. It took a good bit of research and trying different supplements but I am finally free of all prescription drugs. It would take more time than I have to tell you everything in this review that I am doing for exercise, the foods I eat, and the long list of vitamins and supplements that I take. Besides there are plenty of written works and online helps out there that already do that. However, I can tell you that I do not take a multivitamin. I take many separate vitamins and minerals in specific doses that work for me. It just took some research and testing to find out what works. It's still somewhat of an ongoing process. One final point is I tried a different Berberine product (from LongLifeNutri) when I ran out of this one but it didn't work as well. It worked but my blood sugar count was usually around 125 to 130 instead of 20 or so points lower. My doctor just wants me to make sure I keep it under 150 but I think around 100 is a much better number. I had to come back to this brand before I started seeing the better results again. All our bodies are slightly different so I'm not sure why there was a difference between the two brands since they both are supposedly 100% Berberine only.I'll just stick with this one as long as it continues to work for me.

With Berberine - I'm beginning to feel human again.
I often call myself an alien because things that other people can eat, do or use is forbidden to me. I can't take *any* pill-form medication in existence, because the cellulose binding (Micro Crystalline Cellulose - **WOOD PULP**) is quite literally poison to me. I’m forced to have all medications compounded into capsules without added cellulose. Around February, I was accidentally given a thyroid medication containing cellulose. And from that one pill, I had weeks of life threatening problems, but when the effects of that one pill should have faded, I was still left with the problems that I’d been bothered with for months. In the end, I found that it was my Metformin that was continuing the staggering, brain fog and other truly horrible symptoms. I knew I had to find a way off that vital medication, but I don't switch medications easily.I researched *all* meds but failed to find anything I knew was safe for me. But from the very first search, Berberine kept coming up. I decided to give Berberine a try until I could find a "real" alternative prescription medicine. I ordered Berberine and took my first two capsules. That week, my numbers (growing higher by the day on the Metformin) didn't soar. The following week only brought further good news. Now, I’m about a month on the Berberine, tolerating it well, with numbers far better than I’ve seen since Christmas last year. Best part: *Most* of the horrible symptoms (racing heart, extra heartbeat, breathing difficulties, staggering, brain fog, panic attacks, sleep issues, unwarranted anger….) have disappeared or are *greatly* eased. Now, I’m very happy to have Berberine. For the first time in years, I’m beginning to feel “human” instead of a sickly alien. I realize this review is wordy. But a simple “I like it” doesn’t cut it. Seriously. I feel finding Berberine may have saved my life.[Personal Disclaimer: My case is extreme. Please consult with your doctor before changing *any* prescribed medications of your own accord. I did, but after the fact.]

Seems to Be a Problem Solver
. I am 63-yrs old with an A.A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology and was recently diagnosed (4yrs.) with type 2 diabetes. I was prescribed 1000mg. Metformin X2 daily by my, then, physician and my A1c dropped from 10 to 6. I have, since, lost my employer health insurance coverage and cannot afford it on my own. The cost of Obama Care is beyond my budget. My state doesn’t have an extended Medicare program (thank God). While searching for alternatives to (prescription) Metformin, I ran across medical literature for Berberine. Peer reviewed studies of Berberine show that it is similar to Metformin in its regulation of blood glucose. Metformin is very safe, effective, and about as cheap as yesterday's newspapers. The real cost is what the gatekeepers charge for the bad coffee in the waiting room, the physician consultation, and the CYA lab tests. I became interested in substituting Berberine for Metformin. Berberine is more expensive than Metformin but is available without a prescription...so, it costs less. The real problem with using Berberine has been working out the dosage. I have reduced my use of Metformin to half my prescribed dosage and I have, gradually added 1500 mg. of Berberine. I have been checking my blood glucose readings with the addition of this product and, so far, I am happy with the results. My A1c remains around 6. Eventually, I will work out the dosage so that I won't be using Metformin at all.
