What a joy to play!
I am getting back to playing guitar after a 25 year stretch. I have always wanted to learn how to play Chicago Blues style on a 335 Gibson; but never could afford one. So I tried several 335 copies, but none felt or sounded right. And there was always some compromise like fret buzz or tuner problem of some sort or other. When I first got the Starfire I all that was needed was a little tuning and it was good to go. No set up needed. The action was right on. It stays in tune even with quite a bit of vibrato bar.I have been playing the Starfire I for about three month now and love it. While It doesn’t have quite the sound of a Gibson 335; that is ok by me. The Starfire has its own brighter, chimey voice while still maintaining the deep rounded punchy attack of a semi hollow body.Guild like Fender and Gibson has that same long legacy but is lesser known which is good for people like me who was looking for the same quality but not the inflated price. I recommend

Pleased with Purchase
Beautiful Guitar, Plays wonderful. I gave it a once over when it Arrived. And the intonation was off. It was Easy to make the proper adjustments. The neck was true and needed no adjustment, Guild provides an allen wrench if you need too. No String buzz. No issues with the electronics, Pickups sound great. It needs a case, so I ordered one from Guild. It is wide at the bottom so get the Guild case. Guild should offer a Combination package With a case and a Strap . I don't like the placement of the front strap nut. Not a big issue, but I will be placing strap around head so not to interfere with hand placement on higher notes

Best electric guitar I've played
I've been playing casually for the better part of 20 years and have a number of guitars, acoustic and electric, from a number of manufacturers. This is one of the first "professional" electric guitars I've owned and it is one of the best investments I've ever made. The Bigsby inspired Tremolo and the HB2 pickups sing. It really makes the music you play come alive and at the price in my very humble opinion, it's unbeatable. I considered options from Gretsch and looked at second hand Gibsons and I am very glad I decided to go with Guild and the Starfire series. I'm looking forward to the day I move up from this to one of their pricier options. Cannot recommend this guitar enough if you're looking for the one that pushes you to the next level of your playing ability and your skill. Thank you Guild!

Great Guitar
I mostly play acoustic, but wanted an inexpensive electric guitar to work on new projects. I was really impressed, the guitar has a nice feel and also plays nicely. This guitar should be in the $1200 price range. The only bad thing is that it did not come with a case and also seems hard to find a case that will fit its unique frame. After taking it to local shops I was able to find one that I had to order online from sweetwater ( starfire / T50 case ). It would be nice if a link was added to purchase a case with the guitar purchase.
