I've tried both scents and I like the Santal scent best. This stuff does work and has only a very minimal fake tan scent. I put it on my legs this morning before I came to work. It doesn't smell at all that I can detect and leaves a nice buildable color. This is a many times over repurchase both last summer and this summer. I will purchase again. Recommend. (Yes it is worth the money.)

I don’t write many Amazon reviews but this product deserves one. First, love the tan. It applies really easily and develops throughout the day (or night). I apply almost directly after showering. Application takes less than 5 minutes. Truly the lazy girl/or super busy mom way to tan. I have a few lessons learned and notes:1. Use a tanning mitt and brush for your toes and hands2. It takes longer than 5 minutes to settle in. I usually don’t put clothes on for at least 10 minutes to let it fully dry3. At first it just smells like the scent of the lotion, the. throughout the day as the tan develops, the smell develops. It’s not terrible but it doesn’t go away until you shower4. I’ve used it on my face twice, once in the morning but I sweat it off throughout the day. Once at night, that was better. I didn’t break out, but I don’t recommend it. I’d just adjust makeup shades or get bronzing drops5. Alone, it provides a subtle shade change. Paired a few days after my self tanner(same brand), it looks incredible and extends the tan life6. Exfoliates off easily7. It does not come off on my white sheets while sleeping after applying8. Do not apply and then put yourself in a sweating situation for at least 2-3 hours, it will streak or wear off9. Takes 5-7 hours to show with 8 hours being the final color for me10. No rinse off needed like self tanner so super convenient for passive tanning!

Love this product so much! I am a natural, VERY fair redhead and I have tried numerous self tanners, most of which leave me with an orangey color or with a terrible/super noticeable scent. This product has a decent smell and the best part is it doesn't look like tanner at all, just me with a natural sunkissed glow. I personally like the deep version the best to achieve this. Disclaimer, the product does go on clear which can be a deterrent to some, but I promise if you follow the directions, lotion your more susceptible areas, ie wrists, elbows, knees, etc. you will get such a gorgeous effortless looking color! I have other lux unfiltered products and they are all 10/10. You definitely get what you pay for with this brand and it is very apparent that they care about producing the best, highest quality products possible.

Got this after seeing someone I watch on YouTube recommend this for scent and gradual tan that’s not over the top. I do really like this. Initially it seemed quite orange on me (maybe it’s supposed to be bronze-like, but for my neutral Asian skin tone, was used to more brown-ish neutral type tan that I used to have when I could naturally tan. But after the first day or so, it does settle down and definitely looks more natural. Love the rosewood scent so I’m glad I went with that as I know I can’t stand earthy/manlike scents like santal. It doesn’t initially have the tanning lotion smell until later when the rosewood scent dies down the next day. But nothing too bad, I’ve had worse. I feel it does dry down reasonably quick for me, but I give it a good 20-30 min doing nighttime routine just in case to give it time to dry. My skin is so smooth and decently moisturized, but I also don’t normally use lotion on my body, so my legs/feet respond quickly to this lotion for sure. For ease of use and scent, I do really like it. I’d definitely consider repurchasing.

I like this self tanner. It is definitely more a lighter tan and does gradually increase color the next 2-3 days. It is a lotion, so can be streaky looking if not applied well. The smell is great (Rosewood). No self tanner smell at all. Would purchase again. Great if you just want a little bit of color to take away the pale.

I know this review will hold little weight bc I didn’t include photos—which I would’ve if I had a moment to write this review sooner—but this tanning lotion SUCKS. I’ve tried many. I applied this with my mitt and even though the directions don’t require, I always opt for the mitt bc when I do it with my hands it’s streaky. The lotion took forever to dry. Once it did, it transferred to my towel— which wasn’t too bad, but the weird thing is is the smell was left behind on everything I wore and my sheets in the few days after. The next day I noticed that my feet were all blotchy, there was a huge weird mark on my thoughts, and the crevices behind my ankles were splotchy. The smell was really the worst part of it all, tbh. I’ve had better experiences with $5 tanning lotions. Don’t waste your money! Idk what the other people with the good reviews are doing differently, but I’m not a newbie and I hate this!!!

Definitely one of the better self tanners out here. The smell is pleasant and the color that develops looks really natural, no orange tint. Only thing that would definitely make it 5 stars is if it came tinted. It’s hard to get this product on evenly because there is no tint to it.

I got the deep color and it’s perfect. It gives me a natural looking tan with only one use. It’s leaves no streaks! I have even used it at night, slept in my white sheets and nothing transferred. It builds easy. I highly recommend
