Pflueger President Limited Edition Spinning Reel.

Seems like a great reel. Just like my other Pfluegers. Looks really nice too. Smooth as glass action, rock solid anti reverse. I spooled it up with Cajun line and it looks like a show piece. Some don't care about looks, as long as the reel performs up to snuff. My other Pfluegers perform great, and I expect this one to as well. But I like nice shiny things, and this is a beautiful reel, especially with the shiny red Cajun line. I would definitely recommend this reel to anyone looking for a sub hundred dollar reel. It's the best in it's class. 10 ball bearings in this thing, most others at this price point have 3 or 4. It does make a difference.One side note, it is surprising to me how many people have never heard of Pflueger, I tell people what kind of reels I use, they have heard of all the others, but Pflueger brings a ??? I'll keep this "secret" to myself then, I love these reels. I now have 6 Pflueger Presidents.

Great reel. Not sure what the fuss is about.I have this and a original president and both perform identical. Solid construction and smooth operation. Paint has blue like flakes and it really pops in the sun. Not too flashy but looks good. I will say that the only reason I bought this is for the color choice and because I needed another reel. I am not a fan of the baby/light blue paint on the original president.This here will always be my go to reel on a budget. I have the 40 version on a 8ft ticca surf rod and chunking out A rigs for stripers is a joy, drag is nice and clicky and lines come off the spool nicely.My only complaint is the ratio, its a tad slow but other than that there isn't much negatives about this reel.

It is a nice reel I own both president the regular blues model and the limited edition. I like the blue one better seems to be smoother and better quality But it's mine now so gonna use it and enjoy because it is a good fishing reel

Decided to replace some of my older reels and made the decision to use the same models so if I grab a rod they will all be the same. I was going to buy the president because out of all my economy reels I like them the best. When I came to Amazon I found this limited edition president and figured I would give it a try. I bought the ultra light and this 40. I mounted the ultra light on a 4' 6" falcon and the 40 is paired with a falcon cara and is balance beautifully. These reels are light, smooth, and priced within my budget. I plan on buying a half dozen more as paired with Falcons they are my favorite setups for crappie, white bass, and channel cats.

bought this reel to use on my canada trip.10lb mono kept getting cought in the roller on the bail.when i came home i shipped it to a pflueger repair dealer.they simply took me limited edition reel and replaced it with a xt version .when i called and ask why they said the limited edition was dicontinued . dah. .so i geuss the repair guy has a new LE for himself.

The unit works pretty well but after 3 days of light use it became difficult to turn the crank handle. I had to open it up and grease the inside of the unit. For what I paid for it, and after reading so many high reviews, I shouldn't have to tear it apart, especially after only three light days of use. I have a Quantum Hypercast 3 from 24 years ago that I used heavily back then and recently pulled out and it still works fine and I never had to tear into it. Just be aware that you may have to open this up to grease it sooner than later.

Not worth the additional cost. This is basically the tried and true Presidential with a bad paint job and a wooden handle. It's a good reel, but buy the regular presidential and save a bunch of money. I have both in the 6920 size and actually like the regular (blue) model better than the Limited Edition.....the action seems a bit smoother. I have about a dozen various reels in this size that I use almost exclusively for ice fishing, most are Shimano, but the Pflueger Presidential holds its own against all but the highest end Shimanos. Best value in a fishing reel today for those of us on limited budgets that can't spend in excess of $100 for a reel.

I own an original blue 6940 and the Anniversary 40 as well as the Anniversary size 25, and if I can find one still consider buying the anniversary 30 and/or 35. The blue's are great, the anniversary edition, especially when found on sale, is a no brainer, their smooth, light, strong, beautiful, and have sealed drag. Since the 40x has such a high retrieve it has 12lb mono paired it with a Quantum Team KVD Signature series medium 7'4" rod, (great rod btw especially the casting rod) and the 25x has 8lb yellow Nanofil on a Abu Vengeance 5'6" light rod and I couldn't be happier, if you can find any size especially a 20-35 buy it.
