This map was perfect for exploring the city. It shows the city in two different scales. One on each side.It is admittedly smaller than I had first expected. But that was honestly a good thing. It's easy to throw in a pack and carry around with you. If you're going to be doing a lot of navigating on foot of by bike, I would definitely recommend this map.

I like this laminated map. At first I was confused because it's sideways but then it does give you the North east west compass directions. I guess they made it like that because you can fit more into the map.I like the flip side of the map that shows you a larger area. I'll be staying at the travelodge at palm avenue by the mexican border and I can see how to get to the heart of San diego. It show you the tourist spots and the business district and the various beaches and the airport. It also shows you the trolley lines which I'll be using. Really nice concise map.

I recently moved to the San Diego area and wanted maps that would orient me to the major neighborhoods/attractions. I ordered this for the city and another for North County.As stated in another review: "a huge, integral portion of the city is omitted to show a super large (by Streetwise standards) portion of the downtown, which is pretty useless. North of Balboa park" is missing.Also mentioned in another review, "it's sideways"- East is on top, North is to the left, which was confusing and took me some time to figure out. Now I turn the map so that north is up, and twist my head to read the notations of neighborhoods, tourist spots, business district, beaches, airport etc.

The map does not cover as much of San Diego as I had hoped. It does help you understand exactly where you are and where you want to go. All in all, not so bad for tourists.

Got it for a vacation and kept it in my back pack. Was good for getting a general idea of the areas we were going to, but Google Maps was easier for finding places and directions to get to them.

I needed a city street map of San Diego for an upcoming visit for a wedding and a vacation, but couldn't obtain one at my local AAA office. I've used these Streetwise city maps before both in Washington D.C. and in Seattle, and it was very convenient to have at hand on both occasions. They are easy to manipulate, unlike paper maps, and can be carried around with no trouble.I received this product in a very short time from the seller. Many thanks for a great sale!

Big problem: North is left on this map. Turn it so North is up, and then you can't read the street names. Drives me nuts. Luckily this was only 6 bucks. I would return it but Amazon doesn't offer "product does not meet expectations" as a reason.

Nice map... I'm a walker and it doesn't have quite enough info for me... more for driving...

The map was easy to carry and very clear to read. The laminate kept it in good condition

Useful little map and being laminated it is very durable, loved San Diego if you get a chance buy this map and go

Useless don't bother get free better maps in San Diego. Not many streets are named on this and covers little.
