Easy setup, fast scanning does not take up space

I have been using Neat Receipts for years, and also have an industrial grade Fujitsu Scanner at the office. When I'm on the road, I'd like to scan my receipts with a real scanner, and send it over to Neat Scan Utility.For some reason, this took about a full day to try to get working... If you follow the instructions on loading SnapScan Home, then hook up the USB scanner, then configure the various wireless connections (using the access point, and then point to point, and then the IOS wireless connection), it's a bit complicated.Ultimately there is a connection between the SnapScan Home program, and Neat Scan Utililty. This is the part that took so long to get it to work properly.As far as the scanner itself, it's super portable, runs on either a battery (~240 pages scan per battery charge), or usb connection for data/power to and from the computer. The scans are excellent, and if you travel and need to sign documents and return, this scanner provides vastly superior images than taking a picture with your phone.Now that it is all configured properly, I'm looking forward to using it all of the time to facilitate and reduce my paperwork nightmare...The scanner only scans 1 side at a time, and the included software (SnapScan Home) has all the features you need to configure your scan settings, and the output format (pdf, jpg, etc), color (b/w, etc.) and file location for the scanned documents.For me, this is replacing a couple of older scanners that no longer talk with MACOS... ! (you know the drill... new o/s, and all new peripherals and interface cables. Once you have all in order, it's time to go to the newer version, and repeat the process).

I purchased this "newer" ScanSnap iX100 on a Sunday for $223. By Thursday the same week, the scanner was selling for $189. I went with this "newer" model because it was supposed to come with much better software. It doesn't. It uses the same "Scansoft Home" software as the less expensive models.It's advertised to work on the Mac. It doesn't. I have two MacBook Pros -- one with Catalina OS, the other with the last generation Mojave. The Scansoft Home software wouldn't install on either machine. The Installation popup box was blank and did nothing. I couldn't even delete this box, which caused me grief when I tried to shut down the computers. Hours of wasted troubleshooting for what was supposed to be a "premium" portable scanner.

This scanner is so easy to use right from my desk. I can scan to a file, email google driver or i Cloud. It is just a matter of a few clicks. The images are clear. I do not use wireless but do have it connected to the computer as i scan a lot of documents at one time.

Easy to use, high resolution, capable of working with iOS or my PC, efficient, and small! Love this product.

Product is great. The scan to cloud without computer is something nobody else offers. Setup was quite easy. Scan quality is good. Upload to the web over WiFi is a little slow but no real complaint. I don't get anywhere near 260 pages per charge. It's more like 50-60. Still several uses before recharge.. overall this product does what no other does and it's rock solid. Happy to recommend to others.

The scanner works great and is super portable. The set up was to be pretty easy, but it really wasn't. Many days, hours with tears, searching tech support, things not working...I have it working, although not as designed.

Like: Easy to use, quick scan and space saver.Dislike: no reason scan upside down for some page when scanning a lots papers

My main purpose is to use it with my Ipad for scanning photos from relatives when I am visiting them. Have not been out to use it yet but have tried it out at home and works great. Great service, delivered a couple of days before expected. No complaints, excellent service.
