Ok, so I’ve bought these many many times in the last few years from this same seller. I’ve always thought, a gear is a gear is a gear. However, the last batch I received were all defective- looks like one of the ends are flared out too far, so every time I used these to replace a cracked gear, it made more noise and grinding noises than the cracked gears. I switch it out for a different brand and suddenly everything is fixed, so it’s for sure the gear.Since you won’t have any way to know if YOUR batch is defective, I’d recommend not buying these.Also they get an F for customer service- I let them know this batch was defective, they want me to send it back for a for an exchange 🙄. So I took these $6 gears to UPS to exchange . This is a seller I’ve bought from many many times and these are incredibly expensive for a small lot of gears. The replacements were just as defective. The very least they could’ve done after wasting my time (having to redo many simple repairs before I figured out the issue) is to refund my money. BUT this has inspired me to find a bulk supplier, which has been significantly cheaper. So I guess there’s a silver lining.

We have had a battery powered card shuffling machine for many years that our children have enjoyed. Over the holidays the kids got that machine out, and it didn't work properly. When I took it apart, I found that one of the small plastic gears on the electric motor had split in the root of the 8 tooth gear on the motor shaft, and it was slipping causing the card shuffler to not work. I ordered these replacement 8 tooth gears to repair the machine. Right out of the box, the gear went right onto the shaft of the electric motor, and now the machine operates just like new. With 49 more of the gears available, I should be able to keep the card shuffler operating for a long time. It was exactly the drive gear I needed, and I am glad I ordered them to fix my card shuffling machine. These new gears have a solid skirt on one end that will resist the splitting condition on the original gear and I like that design. It is probably better than the original gear and hopefully it will work for many more years to come.
