I have absolutely no idea, I got them for Coronation afternoon tea party & was not remotely looking for BPA free,but they are just what I needed, so I'm very happy with them & going to buy some more..

are these suitable for use other than at chistmas?

Hello, these items are great to use year-round; I use mine particularly during the summer months on picnics, eating out in the garden & with kids & adults, & also for birthday parties. The colours aren't designed for a specific event like Christmas, although yes they come out during the festive season too (handy for Christmas & New Year buffets!). Hope this is helpful.

Where are they made, does it show on the plates? nothing shown on ikea site

Are these the same as ikea as can get a pack of 6 for £1.25 in there ?
