Some sort of leather journal type thing?** A: That's a really good question! The journal is think enough, I would take it to a local leather shop or bag maker and ask if they can quickly maker something nice and simple, like a good piece of leather the same size as the Archer cover with some elastic that wraps around the existing cover. **Q: Does the planner stay open and flat without holding it down? Is it 3-hole punched?** A: Yes this planner easlity lays open and flat without holding it down. It is not 3-hole punched, however it could be if you did it manually. I love this planner. Aloha:) **Q: Anyone know what happened to these? Anyone found something similar?** A: I’ve looked for these every few months for almost a year. Our sales staff used them & loved them. You can’t even purchase them at the Archer website. Even though I hated doing it, I had too for the sake of a to do list. Once I was introduced to my first Archer I was hooked! This magnificent, well thought out, well designed, functional, and actually very fun "planner" is the best of it's kind. I'm close to my 16th Archer, and its actually one of the best parts of my day. I'm not just filling out what I need to do, but, I sketch, I cross out boxes and label them as other things, or extend into them, I play connect the dots, hangman or I've actually folded it up to put in my back pocket for a meeting. I log places I've been, people I've met, and everyday I get to see how consistent my mood is, which, you can log specific items like that in their categorized area. If you don't see an area to log your interests, create one. Your keeping track or logging your life on an every day basis, and you don't even know it. I looked back the other day to see what the weather was like this time last year, and what my day consisted of, and I love doing that. The Archer is perfect for that, it's not just for daily work tasks, it's a journal, where you can write, it's where you write down your experiences in your day to day life keep track of your finance etc.. Most of all, the idea behind it is what's so fascinating. There's no wrong way to use it. Another fantastic feature of the Archer is what I call the "Archer Democracy". When you finish your book, you can (if you want) express what can change, what you like, what you don't like and much more. They're always listening for great ideas and I've seen them incorporate them in newer versions. Just like a democracy, you have a say in what you like to see change or improve. Try it out and just enjoy using it the way you want, that's what its designed for and what I do every day and I love it.
