While known as the book that shattered MJ’s image, what really fascinated me was the author’s look at the rest of the players, coaches and management over the course of the season.The author provides just enough information on everyone around Jordan so you can distinguish their personalities and motivations. The Bulls certainly weren’t a coherent team and yet they somehow managed to win a championship.I almost felt as if I had experienced the season with the Bulls, especially since the author provides a report on every game. You don’t realize that every game can offer some type of insight.And as for Jordan, the author seems fair by recognizing his talent and ability to take over a game to lead his team to victory. While the selling point were issues such as Jordan’s opposition to Phil Jackson’s triangle offense (he admitted this in his own book “For the Love of the Game”), preferential treatment and his growing interest in golfing, the author doesn’t do a hatchet job on Jordan.He writes about Jordan’s compassion for children including meeting terminally ill children before games.This is an entertaining and enlightening book of how an NBA team operates and how the league does as well.

The book has sticky substance on middle third of the cover . And binding has misc damage. Was not wrapped . How do I get this replaced?

I heard about this book but never got the chance to get around to reading it. Once the Last Dance aired, it caught my attention again. After watching the series, I decided to read this book. Sam Smith is a well known writer that has a lot of knowledge about the Chicago Bulls. This book details the 1990-1991 Chicago Bulls champion season. You learn about MJ's relationship with his teammates and management. It's a very good read if you're a basketball fan. Would recommend!
