We must get rid of the guns!
Move to Fire is one of those books that you simply cannot put down! The passionate legal work of Richard Ruggieri interacting with the extraordinary sensitivity and courage of young Brandon Maxfield will have you turning pages as fast as you can. A true story, this book gives the reader a real view of the greed and total disregard for safety of a gun manufacturer coming headlong into the full force of Mr. Ruggieri's take-no-prisoners work. If you don't think we need to control the sale of hand-held weapons of destruction, you will change your mind after reading Move to Fire.

A young boy's tragic injury and his journey to be a hero.
This tragic story was relevant when it happened but may be even more so now. Today. This is an accounting of an normal, working family fighting daily for the life and care of their son Brandon who was accidentally shot at the age of seven. Their love, stamina, courage, patience, fortitude and determination is a story in itself. Couple that with the criminal actions of the gun manufacture and the determination of Brandon's attorney and you have the makings of a great read!

Im glad the young boy won and those aweful guns are ...
I am apparently one of the few who read this book who isnt a diehard gun grabber. To his credit the author played it down the middle and didnt reveal his personal stance til the authors notes at the end.Im glad the young boy won and those aweful guns are no more. Its a great courtroom drama and I recommend it for that but disagree with its politics.

A Must Read
This incredible story intrigues and moves like a Grisham story, but this one is true. Excellent writing...never have depositions been written in such clear compelling style. And, they are true. I saw most of the visuals in this book like a film unfolding. Follow the money, the legal work, and the child's brave fight. Congratulations to all involved in the true life story, and to the author who worked so hard to bring it to the page.

Couldn't put down this book.
What an amazing group of people described in this book. The diligence of the lawyer and the careful attention to detail by the writer are astounding. Heart goes out to Brandon and his family and indeed to all those thousands of people harmed by guns.

A great explanation of why we have gun madness in America
I read this book after we had yet another local shooting. What is special about this book is the way it weaves different story lines back and forth while building the emotional impact of the story. This story is so relevant, the book so well written. It really should be read by anyone trying to understand why we have gun madness in America.

This book was a page turner. The research needed to document the true story had to be very substantial. This is the sort of long term reporting our country needs, especially on subjects as complex as this one.

And Richard Ruggieri is such a skilled attorney and I was very fortunate to work with him
The story itself - a true incident - was heart breaking but the way that Michael explained it was fabulous. Cheers to Brandon!! What a trooper! And Richard Ruggieri is such a skilled attorney and I was very fortunate to work with him. This is a must-read book!!
