CHESS: The Ultimate Chess Tactics and Strategies!

I bought this for my dad, and he’s really been enjoying it! He says it’s not easy to understand without a chess board in front of you, but it’s been super helpful for learning and advancing in chess. He mentioned it’s a good book if you already have a basic understanding of the game.

This is an excellent book on learning how to play one of the oldest game on earth i.e. Chess. In general, it is easy to learn the basics of chess – even kids can become good players if taught properly. However, it is hard to become a strong chess player. There is required to spend considerable time and effort in sharpening the skills and memorizing opening variations. This book is equally helpful for both the beginners as well as the old players. This is a good guide on how to capture other player’s king piece. The author uses theoretical explanations to assist the reader learn more about the game. The writer while giving his analysis of the fundamental principles behind most chess strategies has recommended trying to understand the strategy being followed by the opponent. Chess tactics described in the book are amazing.

Chess is indeed a mind game. Chess is one of the games I like because it helps me improve my skills in strategizing and knowledge.From the viewpoint of a non-beginner, I can say that this is a very good book for someone who has never played the game before. It teaches everything from the history, to the definition of terms, to the actual mechanics of the game. The author even shared some tricks, and included the most common strategies like the four- and five-move checkmates. The illustrations were a nice addition and effective because they’re clear and detailed. The truth is, the game does not require high levels of skill. It is easy to learn and master as you go on and keep practicing, and it’s great that the author mentioned that bit in his conclusion of the book.This book can help you with a lot about chess. It reveals a brief history of the game, basics, rules, strategies and lots more. It even explained each piece of the game and made sure you'd understand the rules. Fantastic book!!!!!!

My son requested I order this book for him using a gift card he received. He is very happy with it and talks about some of the content, although I don't play chess so it's a fairly one sided conversation.

My eldest child wants to learn chess. Unfortunately, my hubby and I are clueless. Well, I’m not totally clueless because I know the moves for each piece but had no idea how to strategize. Good thing I came across this book through a friend and it’s free. What a great bargain for me! Anyway, it’s best to read it with a physical chess on hand for better understanding and so that you can easily apply the moves and strategies discussed in the book. I’m quite impressed with the chess tactics and strategies of grand-masters given in this book. It’s a book to be read and read again to really catch on and be an excellent chess player.

I have a significant collection of chess books dating back to Bobby Fischer’s.I bought this one as a present for my son and stupidly assumed based solely on price that it was the best of the new generation.I am not at all impressed and don’t think that it is worth the price!!Debating whether or not to return it at this time since there is a time constraint regarding timing of the present.

The book is written in a way so interesting that my son read it like in 2 days.

I was so excited to read this book. I am fond of chess and it’s my all time favorite game. This book is very amazing, I had learned many tips from this book. The tricks used in this book were very tricky and need to practice more. I enjoyed every tricks and I had used some of it while playing. I had become the champ in chess in my locality. Many children came to ask me to tell them my secrets which make me feel happy.Well chess is a really challenging game and it’s very good for our brain too. If you want to learn chess then you can read this book. It is written in simple language so any one can read it and learn from it. Highly recommended. You will be amazed with these tricks.

It’s a good book for my grandson .

Chess is a game I love to play but I only knew the basics. This book is a great guide giving you strategies from simple tips on how to move your pawn pieces effectively to a strategy i had not thought of before which is to dominate the center of the board and much more! The strategies are simply laid out and i liked the diagrams which made it easier to understand. I would recommend this to anyone from a beginner to wanting to improve their chess game.
