Igloo Portable 28 Quart Thermoelectric Iceless Cooler

Purchase was to keep sandwich fixings, coffee and cream cold - and save money on restaurants while traveling. Purchased the cord to allow use in hotel as well.Used in a 4 door sedan. Fit best in rear passenger seat rather than behind on the floor for accessing during drive. Think about which way the top opens when you place it.Also top needs to be free and uncovered to work. So don’t pile stuff on top.Plenty of capacity for our needs. Mind how high you stack inside as there is a bit that sits down lower on the inside of the lid. This can prevent a full seal when shutting.Ran flawlessly for hours. Kept things cold but not near freezing.Quite pleased. Will be using this for every road trip.

I was replacing an old 40 qt coleman with this one. I have to say this one gets much cooler then the Coleman, but this could be due to the age of the Coleman (10 years). We used on a driving trip from Florida to Michigan in August. All of our drinks and snacks stayed cold. In the car I measured 38 deg with this. I bought a 110V adapter to use in our hotel. My only complaint is that it got hot. I ended up putting on top of the cooler were the blower exits and that did the trick. After running all night the adapter was barely warm the next morning. I like that the cooling unit is on top weresus the side. This makes it easy to place between the seats for easy access. I friend of mine has this same cooler only not powered. The only difference is the lid. I bought him one of these for his trip from Michigan to Florida in September and he raved about it.

This unit worked amazingly well for about 6 months, but it clearly was not designed to be a refrigerator. It did exactly what it said it would. I probably could have gotten longer longevity if I hadn’t been demanding it in warm or high demand circumstances.This unit works best if it isn’t under constant demand. I did get amazing results with it, and if could find another just like it? I’d get it. But, I can’t find one.

more trouble than it's worth unstable and awkward

I don't think it was made to run "24/7 ". My cord power end burned up and had to get a new one.Now I run it for about 4 hours and unplug it for 2-3 hours. Overall I love it ! it keeps food and drinkscolder then I thought. and don't have the watery mess and have to buy ice every day.2 thumps up here !!

I'm an OTR Truck driver and have been through about 7 coolers, this igloo does a great job, one thing I like is there is no moisture build up inside that happens with other coolers, also it hasn't froze up on Me once.

It’s convenience to keep items cool without requiring ice.

We have purchased this cooler before and it came with 2 adapters---one for the plugging into the wall and one for plugging into the car. We just bought a new one and it only came with an adapter for plugging into a car. Beware! NO PLUG IN WALL ADAPTER!!!
