As an American lady, I fell in love with French Knickers (briefs in USA) while working in Europe. Unfortunately, United States retail merchants and shops do not carry French Knickers in their lingerie departments. The most you can find is a boy short type garment for an underpinning...not the same design fit. Unlike ladies tap pants or boy shorts style lingerie, French Knickers are designed to have a shorter rise and inseam. Perhaps that is why American customers do not understand the fit initially. However, once you have given them a try, you will understand that the comfort of wearing them is wonderfully sublime. The product tag says that the lingerie is machine washable. My experience with this type of satin fabric is that hand washing with mild soap will provide years of life to the garments. Hand washing enhances the fluidity of the satin as well as emphasizing the unmistakable beauty of the lace. The two-and-a-half-inch lace trimming on the leg of the panty is soft to the touch, delicate in appearance and positively luscious to wear. Air drying is always good for extending the durability of the elastic. Unlike other brands of French Knickers, this garment has a soft cotton gusset(crouch) discreetly sewn in. This is an important comfort and much appreciated health appointment. Meticulously attending to design details renders added value to the apparel. Again, I must emphasize that this is not an American short culotte slip nor an American boxer type fit. They are European panties. Personally, I ordered one size up from normal American size and the fit was absolutely divine. This particular brand of French Knickers is a perfectly liberating, ultra-feminine, decant, sensuous undergarment you will enjoy for years to come. Indulge yourself. I highly recommend this sumptuous product. Most excellent. I've ordered (at my husbands' request) another scandalous pair.

These knickers are too short from navel to waist. Not wearable if you are not a teenager and too fancy for day to day wearing. Sorry I ordered. Can't think of anyone I know who would want them.
