Q: Is this really a decanter?

Yes - bought for my dad and he loves it.

Q: Is this just for show?

It is fully functional as a decanter but it looks a nightmare to clean so we kept it as an ornament.

Q: Will it hold a 70cl bottle.

I bought it as a gift so no longer have it but I believe it holds 50cl but not a full bottle of 70cl.
