They’re perfect on icy conditions. Not so good elsewhere.

I purchased these after falling on ice on an early morning December run in Minnesota. I have tried various methods in the past for shoe grip and still have trail shoes with screws placed in the sole. I bought the Ice Bugs after researching options on line and after 25 years of outside running had never ran across this shoe. I have run outside now with the ice bugs 3 times. I use them when the trails and roads are snow and or ice covered enough so that I do not prematurely wear out the carbide tips. Other days I use my homemade screw in sole trail shoes. The ice bugs are unbelievable how well they grip. I am 68 and am a slip and fall away from maybe the end of my running days. I feel completely safe with these on and wish I had found them years ago. I like the toe width which is perfect for my wide feet. They are the size I expected-10.5 US. I like the system used for tightening and loosening the laces since you want to take these shoes off or be able to get them off easily before walking into your home-its really cool! Who knows how long the carbide tips will last but I will likely use these on an average winter maybe 20 times when roads are snow and ice covered. I would guess these should be good for several years. I read carbide tips can be replaced by contacting the company. Just a great shoe for winter running!

This is my second pair of Ice Bugs and I’m much happier with the fit. My previous pair fit well in length, but was a bit snug around mid foot. Not uncomfortable enough to not wear for short runs, but it was noticeable. This pair is much roomier in the toe box and mid foot without creating any slippage when running. I’ve ran in them twice now in a mix of snow, slush, and puddles. GORE-TEX kept my foot dry, and when paired with some gaiters, no splashes made it over the top to soak my socks. The BOA lacing system is also very easy to use and provides an easily adjustable, snug fit. I’m very happy with these shoes.

They arrived early, have good build quality and fit perfectly! This is a smaller company but quality is definitely at the top of what matters to them!

Ordered around Christmas, I am size 9.5 so I ordered a 10US and just put them on, they are super tight, Amazon was nice enough to return so no bad review great shoe, rugged and anti slip.

I’ve tried 4 trail/ winter shoes for running in winter in Chicago. This shoe is great. Traction is rock solid even on ice over concrete. Feels like a running shoe. Awesome product

These are the best traction shoe I’ve ever worn. You can run on ice and snow covered streets. I should’ve got a pair of these years ago.

The shoe is warm and comfy, but not really a running shoe. They are kinda heavy, the outsole is stiff, which makes running faster than slow jogging a problem. These are perfect for walking on those icy winter roads, ok for slow jogging, but just not suitable for running.I do have another Icebug model (Aurora) with studded sole, and those are great for winter running, so it's not like I'm a first time user of a shoe with a studded sole.

Ordered a 1/2 a size big because other reviews said they were one full size too small that is total BS I'm 11.5 and ordered a 12 and there a little loose . So the size is correct dont buy bigger. Just ran 4 miles 2 days after a blizzard over sheets of ice . Amazing must have for running on the east coast
