Great to use for training and small treats
I like these treats for my dog because they are simple. There are no artificial colors or other additives. The dog really likes them. They are just the right size to use them as a training tool, but will not add too many calories to his diet.

My Dachshund Can’t Get Enough—Perfect Training Treats!
My dog is obsessed with these! They’re perfect for training and ideal for small dogs because of the bite-size pieces. Plus, I love that they’re simple—just two ingredients. Highly recommend!

Dog and wallet approved
After purchasing these again for the fourth time, I figured it was time to leave a product review. My dogs love them. We mainly buy them for our boarder collie/aussie mix but our other 2 rescue mutts love them too.I was hesitant given that these are more pricey than standard training treats but you get a Lot of treats for the price. My favorites are rabit and chicken because they don't smell to me. My dogs' favorite are the salmon which I personally don't enjoy the fishy smell but its not too bad.We use these for everything. Everyday training. I freeze some in water for my dog to lick. I put some into empty milk jugs so he can try to get them out. I sprinkle them in the yard so he can sniff them out. I crush and sprinkle them on their dry food to switch it up. They're very versatile, there's a lot of them, and, again, my dogs loves them.

Easy to chew, good size, and chicken flavored
My puppy liked these freeze dried treat, but I didn't. They aren't bad, and the siz is great. They don't seem to last long and they smelled like fish. They seem to not last long in terms of freshness or it seemed that way. They get hard very quickly and they smell very strongly over time and not an abnormal amount of time. we stored them in a tupperware for freshness and they smelled so bad I didn't bother giving them to our pup because I was unsure. I guess if they are being used daily and very often they will go fast, but with us being a puppy I can't give treats like that, so we didn't use them too often or fast enough.Update I bought them again at a different flavor , and purchased the beef flavor which seemed a bit better. They were eaten and loved by my puppy which I appreciate. Good size for him to eat safely and easily. For the Value or $12 or $16 it is not a great one. Similar to another reviewer, I literally got half a bag for both 4oz bags. So expensive for two bags $25 with all included, and only got literally a full 1, 4oz bag btwn the two purchased. They go super fast if actively training, or go bad quickly if not. I may purchase the larger sized bag to see if this makes a difference but because it is freeze dried the price is crazy.

Perfect training treat
My puppy LOVES these treats. We have tried 2 other brands from the pet store before these that he could care less about. With these freeze dried treats, he WANTS to go outside for potty breaks because he knows he is going to get one every time he goes where he is supposed to!! They are dry and travel well. I always have a stash in my pocket for him. Highly recommend.

Is there such a thing as too good? Great freeze dried treat.
My toy breed puppy absolutely loves these... maybe a little too much, I have to break them up because she tends to try and quickly inhale them and they get stuck in her throat (this is just a potential with any freeze dried treat + small breed imo, nothing to do with this particular treat), so keep an eye on that. Also dropping one in the water bowl is a great way to get a pup to hydrate if needed after extensive play time, I've never seen her drink so much water as when she's trying to get one of these out of the bowl. These are great for training but at the beginning she was getting too excited for them and couldn't concentrate, but again, that's just another point in their favor imo. She's calmed down since and they're great.

High-Value, Healthy Treats That Keep My Pup Focused
As someone who's spent years training dogs across the U.S., I've tried countless treats to keep my pups motivated. The Pupford Freeze Dried Salmon Training Treats have quickly become a favorite in my toolkit. Each treat is small—about the size of a pea—and contains less than 1 calorie, making them perfect for extended training sessions without overfeeding. The simple, natural ingredients are gentle on sensitive stomachs, and the freeze-dried process locks in the rich salmon flavor that dogs love. The texture is just right—not too crumbly or greasy—so I can carry them in my pocket without any mess. With over 475 treats in a single bag, they last a long time, offering great value for the price.Whether I'm working with a young puppy or an older dog, these treats consistently grab their attention and make training more effective. If you're looking for a reliable, healthy reward to enhance your training sessions, I highly recommend giving these a try.
