Almost perfect
I took these camping this year as we were on a tent platform and I needed something for tie downs. These little guys did the trick. I was able to secure the tent to the wooden decking with these with little issue. I did find that the hook tended to slip on the planks a little when securing the guy lines. I live in humid Missouri and this could have been related to the underside being slippery but I could not confirm. Having a second person hold them in place just until there was enough tension on them was helpful and made these very handy. I ended up sharpening the tips of the "anchor" portion. This helped tremendously on my second trip. I was able to set the hooks very easily and secure the tent without help.Great addition to our camping bag!

They hold great!!
I really like these, I can use them every year to hold my screen gazebo on my deck.

Breaks easy if you put force in the wrong direction
Pulled too hard to the side and it snapped. The force to break these is shorter than expected. Cheap aluminum, you get what you pay for here. Also the "point" doesn't bite the wood as you might think either. Works in a pinch but could be way better.

Workable tent stakes for wood platforms
I used these to help stake out my tent on the platform at our campsite at a state forest in Vermont. I didn’t have any issues with them bending under pressure. So they were strong enough for my purposes. In a couple instances the gaps in the boards weren’t big enough in the spot I wanted to place the stake, which meant I needed to get a little creative. But in the end I was better off using some of these to stake out the tent where I couldn’t use a longer piece of cord to tie to a stake in the ground on the side of the platform.

Very good build quality but doesn't work on all platforms
I got these because I was taking my Tarptent trekking pole tent to a site where tents are restricted to platforms, and I was worried I wouldn't have anything to stake to. The build quality on these is excellent, unfortunately they will only reach through to hook under on platforms made from 2" nominal lumber (like a 2x4). The platform I was on was made from thicker lumber so I was unable to attach them. A high quality product, but may be limited in application.

Handy to have in your camping kit
Rigging a tent on a wooden platform has always been an exercise in creative knot tying before finding these tent anchors. Their shape makes them easy to slip between gaps in a platform, and a simple twist keeps them anchored securely. The anchors have a hole at either end for tying a cord through, and the shape naturally holds a loop of cord in place. This versatility lets them be used in a wide variety of situations. These anchors are definitely a specialty item that are used only in limited scenarios, but when you need to use them, there's no substitute. Highly recommended if your camping location uses a wooden platform.

Clever gadget, but measure first
There is always a tradeoff between strength and the thinness needed to wedge this between slats. This works quite well for the space between boards on the back of my stake-bed truck to hold my tent in place. Not sure I would trust anything too substantial to be held in place with these, however.

Handy little things
So far, these are neat little hooks. I've only used them to set up a tarp on my deck over a hammock so far. But I've been places they would be great for holding down a tent on a platform. Going to be situational for sure, but a good tool for the one place you do need them. One of the 10 hooks in my pack arrived bent and unusable, but the other 9 look great. It's why I always buy extras.
