Great shocks
Stock old ones gave out. Needed these, for the price I was surprised how great they are. Sturdy/ strong and easy to install.

gets stiffer after like 10 open/close
I just put these on my 2007 toyota tundra hood. The oem tundra i have never changed so they lasted 16 years. I also bought this for my honda crosstour hood and trunk about 6 months ago and they work really well. My Honda is 2013 so those only last 10 years. I cant say as far as the longevity but I from my research online this gets good reviews and appears to be a great brand. So what I've observed from changing out my cars and my trucks is:When you put them on they feel a bit soft at first. They will still work fine but they will get get very tight after opening/closing 10 or so times. The end result is they get exactly as tight as the vehicle was when it was brand new. And if you didn't buy the car brand new then you may think its tighter.

Great price fantastic product.
I didn't even remember that is how high my hood opened. One of my factory struts had got a leak over the winter so it no longer opened but even before then over the years it had been reducing the amount it opened very happy with product.
