I bought my first one about 4 years ago. The only reason I replaced it is because it developed “holes”, otherwise it’s still good. In fact I’m keeping it for other household purposes. It doesn’t get nasty like a loofa does. And because it’s a cloth, you can more easily scrub anywhere. I use it on my face, too.

I purchased two Ayate washcloth about five years ago. One lasted about a year and a half before it unraveled in the wash. I opened the second one and have been using it about three years! I decided to purchase another one while I could still find them. The new one is stored in my closet because the current one still works great. I don't throw it in the wash anymore, though.

When it first came in I was upset, it felt and looked like it was going to fall apart. But after stopping myself from immediately posting a 1 star review, I read the instructions got it hot, and like magic it changed. I was impressed, but before I came here and left a review, I took a shower. It’s rough and scratchy, exactly what I needed. 5 stars. Ordered extras just in case other brands aren’t the same.

I really like these cloths, I use them on my face and body. I like that it really exfoliates my face. This are better to use than those gross sponges you get at the stores.

Recently clothes have not been woven correctly, either too tight and then they roll up and are hard to use, or too loose with giant gaping spaces.. I have ordered these for years and most recently have most that I ordered have been incorrectly woven... very disappointing.

Nice material tho a bit small (about 6.5"x7") once it shrinks after a wash. The real disappointment is that it only lasted about 3 months before it wore thru in the middle (with one person's use.)
