Softer or sharper train sound
All in all it was good. I did not use the wires that came with the kit. Not that they were not good. I just wanted a better quality. I also did not use the horn button, and added a main cut off switch that I ran inside the vehicle. I purchased fittings and used 3/8” rubber shop hose instead of the black 1/2” line provided. I would have had to purchase more of it to make it work for my vehicle. Everything is working fine. The compressor takes a while to build up to 200psi but I haven’t had it run out of air. And I also added quick connects to add a hose to air my tires and tubes, inflatables at the lake, etc. I extended the plumbing for the air gauge and the bottom drain.I installed this kit in a 2013 Ram 1500. I put the horns up front behind the bumper bolted to the main frame. And installed the tank, motor, air valve in the tool box. I did notice one thing that might help out someone is because I installed the air valve in the tool box the horns have a much lower sound. Extremely loud but more train sounding then having it up front. Having it up front the sound is instant and higher pitched. Installed in the tool box it is still instant but softer start and stop both are equally loud as hell. I determined it was because of the length of hose the air has to travel from the valve being in the tool box so the sound starts off softer and ends softer with a considerably lower different sounding tone. Hope this helps. Over all the main parts are holding up and working well.

Toot toot!!
This thing is awesome!!! If you’re good with a soldering iron you can hook up a kill switch and if the solinoid ever stuck open and wanted to shut off the air I put a garden hose valve on the main line by the driver seat and took the pressure. Tried a cheap one and blew it up. But got the nicest one I could find but that’s besides the point here. You can even take the horns off the stand and put em in your engine bay like I did on my 89 wrangler and go super custom and they will still blast!!! The tank is beautiful and works great. I wish the compressor filled up the tank quicker but it’ll get the job done if you need it! Great for scaring friends and family. Never got a chance to use it on the road before I took it out. But honestly was afraid to use it in the road. BUT you’d be heard if you’re tired of your whimpy horn. Super easy to mount compressor and tank on a bored. Decent instrusctions. But easy to figure out!

Good but the install pieces are junk.
Its Loud! Much better than stock. However, the drain plug/purge valve on the tank leaked making the compressor run almost constantly. So we removed the valve and installed a brass plug. But the plug leaked too! What the heck! So I had to braze over the entire fitting to get it to stop leaking. Also threw away the unions that came with the air line and bought the crush sleave type and now I have no leaks and the compressor hardly runs during a 14 hour day.

Garbage
I received the horn kit quicker than expected. I set it up in my shop before putting it on my truck to be sure everything worked and that it cut off at 200psi. All was good this far. I began checking for leaks since I’d only disconnect the hoses to mount everything in my truck. None of the fittings leaked but there was a small leak in the weld around one of the bungs. I fixed that one and pressured it up again and discovered two more leaks in a seam weld. There is no way the tank was pressure tested. I’m getting another tank for it (not made by Viking). Hopefully the rest of it will hold up. Don’t waste your time or money on this.

Sounds great once you get the solenoid to stop leaking
Sounds great once you get the solenoid to stop leaking. And the 5 gallon air tank was leaking at the weld. Company doesnt like to make it right and since its a non returnable item you get hosed. Had to spend money on a compeitors solenoid and buy a competitors air tank. All because company pretty much said I was crazy they never had any problems. 300 $ kit end up 1000$ after labor and replacements.

Electric air valve quit on me.
Has worked great for months, but I had to change get the battery on my truck, and as soon as I get it changed I do the routine check of making sure everything works fine. Well the horns don't work anymore, the compressor works fine, and the tank has plenty of air in it, but when I push the button, nooooo honk. I've traced all the wires and even reconnected the ones that connect to the valve and all the grounds. It's as if the electric air valve short circuited. I've done everything I could think of and even reconnected the words to the horn (button) and still nothing. I don't know where to look anymore.

They are loud and have a great deep tone
Instructions are generic, tank and horns are difficult due to size to find suitable location to mount. Compressor is a little louder than expected but the sound of the horns make up for any other issues. They are loud and have a great deep tone. Only real issue is valve is leaking air but working with customer service to resolve. These went on wife's truck, liked them so much bought a set for my truck.

Get what you like and make adjustments to the system
I like the loud sound it makes makes bad drivers get out my way i didn't like when the my truck is off and the pressure drops in the tank the compressor will kick on draining my battery had to disconnect power to unit and get a bigger alternator to accomadate the draw on the battery
