Bare It All (Love Undercover Book 2)
C**.
Holy cvow! I'm going to need some Ativan to bring me down after reading this book.
If you've never read a Lori Foster book before, I have to wonder why? You have no idea what you're missing. She's been one of my top three favorite authors for the last 10 years. I've read every single book she's written up to this point, and I have never been disappoint, and this book is no exception. I loved her "Winston Brother's series" (Lots of laughs), "The Buckhorn series" (HOT!!!), "Visitation Series" (Very hilarious), "Watson Brothers" (Very good), "SBC Fighter Series" (Very intense reading), "Maitland Maturnity series" (Very sweet), but the best of all the series she's ever written, at least so far, has been "The Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor", and "Men To The Rescue series". But that's just my own opinion. Of course I've said that about every series she's written. LOL!But this series has been by far one of the best, even though it had me on the edge of the seat most of the time. I couldn't put it down for a second. And I'm not kidding about the Ativan thing, either. This whole story felt so dang real, that by the time I finished this book my heart was racing 90 mph.....and I loved every single minute of it, too!Reese- I love his tenderness when it comes to Cash and Alice, and I really love his protective ways, too. But what I love the most..is his interrogation methods. The rest of us women should be as lucky as Alice, huh? LOL!Alice- If you read the "Men of Honor series", you may remember Alice from "Trace of Fever". She played a pivital role in the take down of the bad guys from that book. She went through hell and back in that book, but could still be a real sweetheart, unless you crossed her. Then all bets were off. I loved how she was scared to death, but she did what she had to do to save another innocent person's life. Oh...and she didn't take anything off of anyone, either. At first I had her pegged as this scared weak woman, and boy was I ever wrong.Rowdy- What can I say, Rowdy lives up to his name and his well deserved reputation. But he has change in many ways, like the way he's finally starting to trust the cops. I'm really excited about the next book about him and Avery. Knowing Lori Foster, I have no doubt it's going to be another nail biter.I also loved the fact that we got to see lots of face time with Pepper and Logan, from "Run the Risk". Loved this couple, and it's great to see their relationship from a different POV.Trace of Fever is one of my all time favorite books, so getting to spend some quality time with Trace was an added bonus. Actually I loved all the stories about Trace, Dare, Chris, and all the others, too.But the person I really intrigued about is Logan's brother, Dash. I'm sure there's going to be a very intriguing story there, too. He always seems to show up out of the blue, and he knows so much more than anyone really realizes. Will he shock us all and end up getting hooked up with the aloof Lieutenant Margaret Peterson. Hmmmm, sort of makes you wonder now, doesn't it? The fact that he already has his own nick name for her, makes me wonder what these two have been up too.....Would I recommend this book? You better believe I would, in a heart beat!

LOVE ME SOME LORI FOSTER...I'VE GOT ROWDY ON MY MIND
"She wondered if evil blended in with the mundane. Right beneath the noses of the unsuspecting public, people were grabbed. Taken away. Mistreated. Abused. Forced to do things they didn't want to do."I'm a big Lori Foster fan and enjoyed the first book in the Love Undercover series (Run the Risk). It had been a while since I read Run the Risk and I wish I would have done a re-read before starting Bare it All just to remember exactly where things left off. While I'm sure you could read Bare it All without reading the first book in the series, I recommend that they be read in order. Just a note: I noticed that Bare it All is marked as book two in the Love Undercover Series but book five in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor. Both series while both being romantic suspense novels deal with the theme of human trafficking. I loved the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series with Book one being my favorite (When You Dare). That being said, for someone who wanted to read both series, I would start with the full set of Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor and then read Run the Risk. I was super excited when Trace from Trace Of Fever (book 2 Men Who Walk) shows up in Bare it All. I'm hoping Dare from book one shows up eventually, he was definitely my favorite.Back to Bare it All! Detective Reese Barden was a major hottie. Hank Nightingale from Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series is still my all time favorite detective but Reese comes in pretty close. I mean who doesn't like a very large sized hunk...and he was so protective of Alice which was sweet. I liked Alice too. I'm glad the author didn't write her character as a victim. She was definitely a survivor and I appreciated her portrayal as such. She had her dark secrets but she wasn't weak. I loved how she was so straightforward and didn't play alot of games. While I liked both characters and did enjoy this book,I didn't like this it as much as I liked Bare it All. It seemed a little slow in spots. I also was continually distracted by Rowdy. While I am a big Reese fan, I couldn't get Rowdy off my mind. He operates outside the law, he's gorgeous, and he just seems like he could get down and DIRTY. Yep, I'm all about that. It's almost like his character was distracting to me throughout the book. Luckily I won't have to wait long because Getting Rowdy is scheduled to release Sept. 24th. I can't wait to see whats in store for him and Avery. And that cover? Delicious. If your a Lori Foster fan or enjoy romantic suspense, I would definitely suggest checking out both of these inter-connected series. All the books are well written with a good mix of intrique and romance. Lori Foster always doeds it right.

action packed, sexy romance, brilliant!!!
I am a huge lori foster fan and couldn't wait for this book to be released. this is the second book in her 'love undercover series'( 'run the risk' is the first), and was utterly brilliant!this was a fast paced read that had been flipping through the pages. i wanted to savour the story and make it last, but I just couldn't help devouring this book. the characterisation is excellent, both leads were really likeable and refreshing (love the puppy chase too). reese is an alpha male, though very caring and to a degree rather sensitive, which is perfect considering the sometimes skittish traits of alice the heroine. further, the relationship between the leads showed a true connection and made for a unique pairing.the book was full of action packed adventure and twists and turns, and it was only when I was so far into the book that I realised alice was originally a secondary characters from lori fosters book 'trace of fever' from her 'edge of honor' series. you don't have to have read this book to understand this one, but I did find that this made it all the more sweeter for me and helped me get the whole relationship between alice and the mysterious trace. furthermore, I don't think it is totally necessary that you read the previous book to this one first, as everything is explained and it does not hold a whole lot of bearing for these characters and their story. however i would still recommend you do as that was a good read as well!overall this is a really great book and is told from several peoples points of view (alice/reese/rowdy/the baddy), which makes the story fuller for me.its fast paced, with a gripping story and action. the characters are diverse and memorable. I cant wait for the next book in this series which is 'getting rowdy', this obviously is rowdy's story who was one of my favourite characters from this book. i am definitely going to pre-order the next book! 5 stars

Great read
I love excitement and adventure in my stories. Always a handsome man and a sexy woman go hand in hand, but the plot keeps you coming back for more.

I won't trust ratings after selecting this book based on its rating
Poorly written, flat and uninteresting. Like a badly written Harlequin romance. Can't get through more than 30 pages even after trying multiple times.
