Excellent fast drive - perfect hard drive replacement
I refurbish a lop of laptops and the easiest boost to performance you can give is to replace the old mechanical hard drive with a fast SSD drive. I look for good performance from a reputable manufacturer at a competitive price and this drive meets all of these criteria. Kioxia is the new name for Toshiba Electronics - a well respected and reputable manufacturer for many years. The 240GB model I prefer to use has proven to be reliable and to provide excellent performance at a great price. It provides fast Sequential Read/Write speeds that are faster or on a par with the better known makes and I feel confident that they will continue to do so for many years - the Mean Time Between Failures is 1.5 million hours - that's a long time!Overall, the price / performance ratio is exceptional and I will continue to use these to replace older hard drives as my go-to drive. I have even used them on older laptops which don't have a SATA 3.0 interface and they still run great and improve performance. I have yet to find a laptop with a conventional SATA mechanical drive which would not support these drives so you can be confident they will work fine!

This little powerhouse has truly transformed my computing experience, delivering exceptional performance and reliability that exceeded my expectations.First and foremost, the speed of this SSD is simply outstanding. The NVMe interface allows for lightning-fast data transfer rates, ensuring that my files and applications load almost instantaneously. Whether I'm booting up my computer or launching resource-intensive software, the EXCERIA SSD handles it all effortlessly, providing a noticeable boost to overall system responsiveness.

Great value
I bought one for my main PC and then two more for laptops. Price at the time (~Oct 21) of £37 was great and I already had an external USB caddy so just had to find some free cloning software (I opted for Macrium Reflect). Much faster than the hard disks they replaced and all been 100% reliable to date. No idea how they perform against other SSD's but these are quick enough to boot Windows in seconds rather than minutes with similar huge improvements opening and running applications.

Good NVME storage
Good NVME storage, more so if you can get it on a discount. Not the fastest however it uses good flash and from a known brand.

Nice quality SSD at a great price!
I bought this Kioxia Exceria 240GB SATA SSD to replace the OEM 7200rpm HDD in a new / old stock Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e Tiny PC from 2012, which only has a SATA II interface. Still, I hoped that I'd see some performance improvment from the SSD, even though it would be limited to SATA II transfer rates. The drive is solidly built, with a tightly-manufactured pressed-metal casing rather than the plastic often found on budget (and even some mid-range) devices. It looks and feels like a quality product, which is impressive considering the price. Fitting it was easy, as it's a perfect drop-in replacement for a 2.5" HDD. Upon booting up, it was immediately recognised by the BIOS. Installation of the Ubuntu Mate 20.04 LTS operating system was brisk and trouble-free, confirming backwards compatibility with SATA II.So, has it improved the performance? Yes, it has... significantly! It has transformed a modest-spec, nine-year-old PC into a surprisingly zippy little machine (and a somewhat quieter one, too) that's perfect for web-browsing, watching YouTube, editing documents and spreadsheets, and programming. I can't verify Kioxia's performance claims due to the PC's SATA II interface limitations, but I can say it's a darned sight faster than the old 7200rpm HDD. Time will tell whether it's reliable, but given the obvious quality of manufacture externally, I'm quite hopeful.I'm sure there are better choices for those with a considerably larger budget, but all I wanted was a decent, inexpensive SSD to perk up my older-specification PC. This Kioxia Exceria seems well-respected, and does the job nicely at a very pocket-friendly price.

Received a used item that was LOCKED by the previous user (see photos)
The item was shipped very fast and delivered on time, however when i received it I noticed that the original packaging was taped back together, that the product was manufactured 4 years ago and when trying to write an image to the ssd it prompted me that authentication is requiredImmediately returned the item, waiting for a refund ...
