The handle is made of plastic and is pretty thick. Not as thick as OEM but pretty darn close. For the price its a can't beat compared to the OEM. It installed with ease and I didn't have a problem what so ever.All you need to install the clip is a T-20 driver to remove the 4 screws, Phillips head to remove and install the handle, and a Flat head to pry the clips off. Its very easy so do yourself the favor and order this part if your handle is broken and save your self the money from going to the dealership and do it yourself.The lid stays nice and snug once it is latched. Highly recommend product.
