Big Book of Dragons, Monsters and Other Mythical Creatures (Dover Pictorial Archive)

Not exactly what i was looking for,although was along the same lines,will do for reference, etc.

A fantastic resource (the other reviewer clearly didn't know what to expect from this type of book).

This is a dull book, mostly filled with black and white woodcut-type historical drawings, reproduced on cheap, almost newspaper-ish paper. There is very little in the way of text (despite what the publisher's review says) to provide interest and substance, so mostly this is a book filled with non-coloured drawings and little else.Some of the illustrations are printed far too small, so details are lost, and some are simply reproduced from crude woodcuts/ printings in the first place so there isn't much detail to begin with. This book may be fine if you're a scholar, but for anyone else, I'd say it's dull and disappointing.
