Leatt4.5 Chest Protector

Feels protective but not too bulky. Good enough to race downhill MTB on. It covers all my ribs and fits great (6’ 200 lbs 25% bodyfat). Might buy the add on shoulder pads at some point but idk.

This Leatt chest protecter is well designed and actually works. Airflow is pretty good, which is important since I live in Phoenix, Arizona. It is easily put on and very adjustable. I started using it after breaking 2 ribs in a fall.

Hello all. I first bought the 4.5 Hydra Chest/Backpack Combo..Gorgeous Pice but the Chest Protector was TINY and the whole system was VERY HEAVY on my back when filled with Water. So I was so impressed with how comfortable the Chest Protector was I bought 4,5 Chest Protector in XXL . I am 5'-11" and205-210lbs andit fits me perfectly with lots of room to spare! VERY WELL BUILT! I am running it with a Camelbak Repak Waist 1.5L Hydrapak and i just love having all that weight off my back!!I felt so free on Sunday's Ride!

Used this from day one riding Winter park downhill. Feel it’s the best I could get for when I screw up. Let’s just say I screwed up on rainmaker and overshot a jump by 15 feet according to people I was riding with (thinking it was a different jump) and went Superman and crashed and burned hard. I did break four ribs under the right armpit 3,4,5 & 11, BUT the e.r. Team said if it wasn’t for the chest protector I would have gotten a helicopter ride. Didn’t even bruise at all on side. The impact was so hard it sheared off the pedal and cracked open my helmet.And it saved me from a tree impact also. That one hit square on the chest plate and didn’t even bother me. It dispersed the impact.I was very thankful both times to be wearing this chest protector. Once your riding you don’t even realize your wearing it. I do recommend you wear a under shirt. Or like me over my jersey. Then it can be taken off easily. 100% recommended.

I am 5’5” and fits perfect! Very comfortable

I am 5'10" 250lbs. I have a large chest, wear 2xl shirts. The protector fits & feels extremely well. Seems to add enough protection. While wearing this, I fell a couple times dirt biking with no injury.Needed this as I broke 5 ribs the last time I rode before buying this.

My son likes to ride his dirt bike fast. This is the only chest protector I’ll buy.Don’t save money on your kid’s safety.

I'm 62 years old and 250 lbs. I ride at the edge of my abilities and I crash. I bought this because I had a recent fall at the end of my handlebars and it was a very bad injury. This is lightweight but has protected me well from two recent falls. I was worried it would be too hot to wear but it fits well and is surprisingly comfortable. I would like to add shoulder guards in the future if possible.

Perfect fit! For the price, this is well worth it! It's super light and comfortable!

This is my first chest protector so cannot compare to others.Needs a little more velcro on the shoulder straps for more tension, but otherwise I would highly recommend.I feel so much safer when wearing it. I gave it 5 and a half stars but the rating system does not allow it.
