Well made quality socket. It has good fitment on ratchet and fasteners.

This set is definitely a step above what you'll find at the big box stores. The grip of the ratchet is very comfortable, where it is soft but still firm in the hand if that makes sense. The sockets have great fitment on nuts and screws that I've worked on. I did disassemble the ratchet head and grease the gear and pawl lightly, which greatly reduced noise and made the mechanism buttery smooth. I was almost convinced it was skipping gears until I took it to some fasteners.Yes the ratchet isn't super fine teeth, so if you're elbow deep in an engine bay you might be there for a while, but for applications where you have a bit more room it is fantastic.The extension is very cool in that it can either lock the socket completely, or allow it to have some wobble to it, depending on if the situation calls for that feature. I haven't seen that on my harbor freight wobble extensions.Overall, it is a buy in my book!

I initially bought this set because my old Craftsman 1/2" ratchet finally gave up the ghost and my local Sears closed. I had concerns because the beam of the ratchet is wider than the US makers and the finish is matte. After using it for a while this is a beautiful set. The ratchet is super smooth with very little drag. I found that I didn't have to put my finger on fairly loose nuts to keep them from rotating while I ratcheted. The ratchet feels great in my hands and the reverse lever and quick release button are easy to access and work smoothly. The sockets are all 6 point and seem to be good quality. I can imagine there would be a situation where the wide beam could make it harder to access a bolt but I haven't run into it yet.

Real made in Germany Gedore build quality. This set has a great range of socket sizes up to 32mm, but does have a couple skips in smaller sizes (no 11mm or 14mm, but you can add them and could probably get them to fit in the case). The wobble end on the extension is nice. Sure the ratchet is 60 tooth v. 80 like Stahlwille or 90 like Hazet, but it is sufficiently fine and feels stronger. The main thing is that it is extremely high quality and built beefier than other German brands and for an excellent price (set was under $100). This seems better than the Gedore 1/4 and 1/2 case set which is more than twice the money.

Proper fit to fasteners and good energy transfer. Ratchet very smooth with surprisingly low back drag. Excellent alternative to tool sets with dubious metals.

My excitement to receive a Made in Germany socket set was diminished upon finding that the broaching in the sockets for the 1/2" drive was off center. Also the finishing inside one of the larger sockets was quite bad. Additionally the ratchet switch is noticeably off center. I would have returned the set if I didn't get it for a great price (less than $90). I also quite like the ergonomics of the ratchet handle and the knurling on the sockets.Update, so since I wrote the above review I have learned that Gedore sockets are hot forged as opposed to the industry standard of cold forging which the likes of Snap-On and Hazet use to manufacture their sockets. Hot forging produces a stronger socket but their is some sacrifice in precision. This may explain the off centered drive broaching.

Was expecting a little higher quality...for example, something along the lines of Williams but not quite Snap-On. This is more like SK Tools.

The tools look very solid, though sadly, the case was badly scratched inside where things had moved about and had to be returned.

Der Knarrenkasten enthält alle wesentlichen Nüsse zum fröhlichen Drauflosschrauben. Die Qualität der Nüsse scheint okay, zumindest die der genutzten. Die Knarre tut was sie soll, die Unterteilung ist brauchbar. Dank der Druckknopfauslösung, lassen sich Nüsse leicht abnehmen. Die Umschaltung könnte geschmeidiger sein.Die Verlängerung weist Schwächen auf. Der Kugelkopf, der es ermöglicht, dass die Nüsse nicht nur starr sitzen, sondern 15°-Bewegungen machen können, weist bereits nach wenigen Einsätzen, alle weit unter dem Limit von 230 Nm, erhöhte Gebrauchsspuren auf. Es bildet sich an den Kanten ein Grad, der auch scharfkantig ist. Selbst bei einem, für Gedore Verhältnisse, "Billigkasten", sollte eine solche Abnutzung, nach ein paar Einsätzen, noch nicht auftreten.In diesem Fall kann man noch nicht mal auf Fernostfertigung schimpfen, denn das Werkzeug soll ausnahmslos aus Deutschland kommen.Wo sind die Zeiten von Dowidat, Belzer und Co. hin...Fazit: Ich bin nicht wirklich zufrieden. Ich musste den Kasten aber auch bezahlen 😉.

Ein sehr schönes Set, qualitativ über jeden Zweifel erhaben, so zumindest der erste Eindruck und auch die Erfahrung mit Gedore. Habe ein ähnliches Set von Hazet, deutlich teurer aber da wirken die Knarre (allerdings auch nur 24 Zähne) und vor allem die Verlängerung etwas belastbarer. Gerade bei der Knarre wusste ich das aber vorher und wollte bewusst noch eine Feinverzahnte. Daher für mich wie erwartet, aber man sollte sich vorher überlegen, was man benötigt und mit wie viel Kraft man arbeiten will und muss. Die Verlängerung ist mit 230 NM angegeben, für 1/2 Zoll auch nicht extrem viel, aber steht hier in der Beschreibung und geht daher in Ordnung. Für mich einfach eine günstige Möglichkeit, an die Knarre und die Nüsse zu kommen und alles auch mit einer passenden Schaumstoffeinlage für die Werkzeugkiste. Bin daher happy, aber habe mich auch vorher bisschen länger damit beschäftigt, was ich will (brauchen tut man Gedore, Hazet und Co ja privat eh nicht, man will es) und da passt das Set sehr gut. Wer einfach nur kauft, weil es relativ günstig ist, könnte enttäuscht sein.

this is one heavy duty set, feels durable, solid and heavy in the hands. knurling is pretty good and handle is comfy, not soft but more like hard rubber. ratchet is actually pretty fine tooth and socket release works well. the finish is rough like most European brands like stahlwille, hazet, elora, etc. Gedore perhaps moreso than others, however, i personally prefer the satin nickel finish over super-polished tools but to each their own.case also holds everything in nicely, can turn it upside down and nothing will fall out.

Wie von Gedore gewohnt robuste Qualität und sehr passgenau. Auch wenn es sicherlich billigere Nüsse gibt würde ich immer wieder die Qualität von Gedore kaufen. Es macht sich am Ende doch immer bezahlt wenn wann gutes und robustes Werkzeug benutzt zu einem hält diese Nuss sicher sehr lange und durch die hohe Passgenauigkeit werden keine Muttern oder Bolzen beschädigt was beim Schrauben am Motorrad und in meiner Firma sehr wichtig ist.
