Great little cast iron (8"). I accidently purchased this - meant to get a 10". We have a larger 12" from same brand. Guess I will end up with a whole set. Lodge makes great affordable cast iron cookware. We have a $800.00 set of Calphalon. We have found ourselves mainly using the larger 12" skillet for cooking. I ordered this 8" by mistake, but used it last night to sauté some mushrooms. It did great. I will be holding on to this one and grabbing to 10". Highly recommend this brand - we have had nothing but sucess.

This 8 inch chef style cast iron skillet is an excellent addition to a set 10 and 12 inch of cast iron skillets. The 8 inch is a perfect size for cooking a 3 egg omelets or a couple of fried or scrambled eggs and smaller orders of other fried foods. Being cast iron, it has excellent heat retention and is as easy to care for as other cast iron pieces. Any Lodge lid for an 8 inch skillet will fit.

Been using non-stick for my eggs for 20 years. Tired of buying a new one every year or risk eating all those toxic coatings.Found these online. They came pre-seasoned. Give it a wash with mild soap, add a few drops of oil, heat up the skillet, drop 2 eggs in and my first attempt the egg just slided out onto my dish! The sloped sidewall definitely helped!

Reluctantly tried it and absolutely love it. Makes meat so much more flavorful and tender. Much easier to use than expected. Better than the conventional non-stick pans that are expensive and don’t last. This will last forever!

Really like the Chef pre season pan don't have to season it first etc food taste really good , not used to cooking higher but it does cook faster! Doesn't seem to stay like new after washing get some faded stains but it's part of cooking with cast iron, bet it cleans better than a regular not seasoned pan.

I love cooking with cast iron and this 8-inch pan is a perfect size for eggs, small steaks, quesadillas, and grilling sandwiches. I only really cook for myself, so I don’t always need a large frying pan to cook. This one comes pre-seasoned and when cared for properly, remains non-stick and rust free with minimal effort. Great product, I highly recommend it.

Very happy with this purchaseThe pan is so much better than the AlClad I have that is the same size. Obviously, it’s heavier. Cast iron takes and distributes heat much differently, and more efficiently. Takes a moment to get accustomed to. The handle does get quite hot. I bought a silicon sleeve to go with it.The shape of the chef collection is what I was looking for in a cast iron pan too.

This "Lodge Chef Collection 8 Inch Cast Iron Chef Style Skillet" is my favorite go to for eggs or any small meal. Its small enough yet still heavy duty. Nice quality skillet.
