Good solution without plastic
This is a very nice, modern looking water kettle. It heats up very fast, as fast as the same amount of water on an induction stove top or in my old all-stainless steel kettle, about 3-4 minutes for a quart of water. I used that test to clean it out with boiling water to remove any handling dirt, after that it is ready to use. I bought this because it is all stainless steel inside, no plastic that might leach. It automatically turns off when water is boiling and has a blue-lit on/off switch to indicate that it is running. It rotates freely on the power base and the cord can be tucked away underneath if only a short extension is needed. It is also well insulated and only gets warm on the outside, but not hot, you will not get burned by touching it. The only minor design suggestion I have is to make the on/off switch smaller. Even though under the main handle, it protrudes out quite a bit and I can see that breaking off when handled roughly.

Basic Electric Kettle that does the Job Very Well
My girlfriend had one that she has had for several years and used daily. The nylon lever finally broke rendering the pot inoperative. It worked so well for so long, we decided to replace it with the same pot. Boils water in a minute or two, shuts off automatically, very simple well designed stainless steel pot. Highly recommend for the price...just go easy pressing down that nylon knob to activate...

Simple and as plastic free as it gets
Spent hours looking for a kettle for our roughly 1.5L French press carafe. Unfortunately this is a product category that could stand to have a little more quality and a little less plastic, so needless to the options are astoundingly limited if you don't want any plastic on the interior of the unit. Here's how I settled on this unit: Double wall stainless steel - keeps exterior cool to touch Metal lid - a lot of stainless steel kettles use plastic lids. There is a very tiny bit of steam exposure to the plastic hinge from what I can tell. 1.5L capacity - has interior line measurements for .5, 1, and 1.5 So far so good. Not wobbly on the base, heats quickly enough. Does seem to take longer for the auto shutoff when boiling than what I'd expect but that's not really a problem. The only improvement would be a removable lid rather than a hinge. I'm not sure why that style is so uncommon, but it's the only way you'll have a true plastic-free unit. There are a small number of options that do have this but appear to have a lot more quality control issues. I have past experience with the Secura brand and feel more confident in their products.

Stainless steel kettle that works well and looks good
The Secura stainless steel kettle replaces a Braun plastic kettle because I didn't want to use hot water that comes in contact with plastic anymore. The Secura kettle works well and looks good. Quit a bit of steam comes out during the last few seconds of boiling and a little (very little) water leaks through the lid. The outside of the kettle does not get hot so no danger of getting burnt. The handle feels somewhat flimsy. Worth the money I paid for it.

The best stainless steel electric kettle!
Perfect electric kettle! Please consider bringing it back in stock. This kettle was amazing — it lasted 3.5 years, which is far longer than the 1–1.5 years I usually get out of other brands (and trust me, I’ve tried plenty!). I loved that it’s made entirely of stainless steel, with no plastic smell and no plastic parts touching the water. I just ordered a different model from the same brand and hope it works just as well.

Happy I could find an stainless steel electric kettle for under $100
My boyfriend has had this kettle for over 5 years and apart from dripping a little if you pour the water out too fast, I liked it. I never thought about the fact that my (old) kettle had plastic parts that touched the boiling water until recently. So, I did some research on whether stainless or glass would be best for me and decided to get the same kettle as my bf. I was surprised by the negative reviews about water getting into a small hole in the handle side of the interior of the kettle and somehow ruining it. His kettle has worked flawlessly for years. So, unless you’re overfilling the kettle well past the maximum fill line, I don’t see how water would get in that hole. I bought it and so far am very happy to have a kettle that has a plastic free interior; perfect size to make enough water for a cup of tea and a French press; heats water quickly; and a decent price point. Great purchase!

Worked Well, Lid Latch Failed
I just received this, so may update later. Firstly, it feels impressively well built, with a more solid switch than the last two I had (which both eventually failed to switch on, one after less than a year, and one after about 2 years): This is a solid stainless steel, holds 1.6 quarts, and is 1350 watts. I prefer a 1500 watt for fastest boiling, but this is way better than the 1100w one I had last. It is double wall, and seems to keep water warm quite awhile, but I'll update later on that. So for $25....seems darn good! UPDATE: Lid latch failed in late November’25, so lasted only 1.5 yrs. Didn’t keep water warm long. Boiled water quickly. Solidly made, but cheap latch, apparently, so won’t recommend, as lid won’t stay down now.

PERFECT and no plastic inside
Searched for a kettle that had absolutely no plastic in the interior and this kettle has none. It works well, boils quite quickly and is attractive too! I bought another after using it for a few days as I wanted a backup for travel. Over a year old and still works perfectly. Very much recommended.
