They are indeed for advanced patternmakers, as such I like that there is little handholding and pretty much just showing the garment and how the pattern should look. I would have liked to see actual photos of the garments made up and actual photos of the finished patterns. This book does not include info on creating slopers. The section on dart manipulation is a little weird, its too simply for beginners and not needed for advanced patternmakers.
