Can You See What I See? Treasure Ship: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve

Genius
Walter Wick is a genius. This book is my new favorite Can You See What I See/I Spy. (My old favorite was CYSWIS Dream Machine.)We got Treasure Ship as an Easter present, and it is fascinating. The pictures are so, so good -- and they lead your imagination on a grand adventure. Each picture is a puzzle in its own right, and then you turn the page and the camera seems to zoom out, giving you more context, and then more, and then more. Oh, it's great. You can use it to tell a story, you can use it as an early reader, you can play "find Seymour" on every page, you can stare and stare and always find something new. Every age loves this book -- everyone in the family, all our visitors. My introvert grade schooler loves doing it one-on-one with a grown up, my extrovert wild child loves to "race" to find the clues, teenagers and grandparents love it, right brainers and left brainers love it, and as for me -- the illustration junkie that I am -- I am blown away.Thank you, Walter Wick. You have an amazing talent. This is a book that makes us all glad.

Best in the series
These are hands down, without a doubt, our favorite family books. This is my go to gift that I give to my daughter's friends and also my friends who have little kids or grandchildren. My daughter and I like to look at these books and complete one or two pages before bedtime. We own at least 5 of the books in this series and this treasure ship is for sure our favorite. This one and the Halloween one actually. But you can't go wrong with any of them. These make an especially good gift for someone who is recovering from a sickness or an injury, it's a great way to pass the time and it is not a one time read. You can make up your own I spy or look at these again a month later when you've forgotten where everything is.

Wonderful books
We take these to Halloweekends at Cedar Point and have the kids ( the youngest is 26 lol) divide into teams and they have to find all the items one at a time and then pass the book to the next person. We have the best time with these books!!

Great "find it" book series!
My 7 year old loves seek and find books. The "Can You See What I See" series is great. The pictures are very vivid, and have a lot to look at. It's not so challenging that he gets frustrated, but hard enough to find that he doesn't think it's a baby book. He and his dad do a couple pages each night before bed and have a great time with these. Highly recommend!

Perfect Rainy Day Activity
My nephews are six and love these books, they’re obsessed for awhile and then put them aside, always come back to them. There is always something new to find. Perfect for ages 4/5+ to adult. Younger kids need adult help to find. They like the pirate theme a lot.

Gateway for reluctant readers.
My 7 year old reluctant reader loves these books. The hidden objects pictures keep him engaged. He asks to read and has developed a habit of asking to sit and go through the book on a nightly basis. It is reading word lists and simple phrases, but it meets our present needs as we build towards stronger reading habits. I rated this 4 stars because this one wasn’t as challenging as the Toyland Express book, which he seemed to enjoy a little more.

Hours of entertainment and subtle education with great images!
These are a great series of books and currently the first choice of a 4 year old and hold his attention on repeat visits. Being American there are a few words that need translating e.g. car bonnet for hood, tap for faucet etc, but in a way that is not a bad introduction at an early age to the idea of language. On my way to acquiring the complete series.

Beaufitul book for young readers!
My kids absolutely love the 'Can You See What I See' series of books, and 'Treasure Ship' is no exception. The beautiful book starts with a treasure chest buried deep within a sunken pirate ship, and each page cleverly zooms out until you've finally landed at an oceanside gift store.Overall a lovely book for young readers!
