gruesome revenge
Quint is a very likable character even though he can be his own worst enemy. I loved the setting and the pace of the story was excellent. I look forward to the next adventure.

Exciting book
If you like a lot of action bravery and some humor this book is for you. Very good writer and Avery original story. It will certainly keep you turning the pages

wow
Just like a Boch book. Once it starts running, it doesn't stop. More complicated than a spaghetti plate. In a good way

Solid page turning thriller.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book for many reasons and the pacing of the story is the best part. This story will turn the pages for you. The author is frugal with description and character development but the story reads quicker because of it and the story keeps you engaged even with or possibly because of the sparse details. I will order the next book in the series and have gifted this book to a friend who lives in the East Bay Area where the story is based.

Sweet Revenge
Fast paced, exciting read. Quint's character reminds me of young ladies in horror movies who stereotypically go alone into very scary places while audiences implore them to do otherwise. Oh well, so far so good for our hero, and I will keep reading to see how long "so far" can go! Good job on the humor and thriller mix.

Best read in a long time
What was there not to like. I loved Quint. I loved his and Cara's relationship. It was detailed but not overly. I will be buying the next book. Can hardly wait.

Disappointed 2.5*
The characters act and govern themselves as teenagers, instead of mature adults. These characters behave like teens and continue to run their lives, through impulses. All I could think is this character is straight out of Fox, instead,of growing up strong g in Compton or Newark. The only thing missing is the strange rug Tucker wears on his ambient temp IQ holder.Investigative Journalists worked hard to gain the trust of thief audience, and we have a duty to preserve honorable journalists.Even disappointed , I will not deter my reading. I will be more selective before reading the first page.

Overall, a solid 4 STAR action story.
The plot was interesting and easy to follow, and there was plenty of action throughout the story.. The main character had a bit of Superman in him especially at the end of the story but overall his actions were very believable. He does become a sympathetic figure midway through the book, and I couldn't help pulling for him to get everything resolved. The "very light" romantic moments were not a big deal at all. The ongoing passages concerning the MC's father's death were a bit overdone, but some of it was relevant to the story.I would be interested in following the series through the next book to see if the MC becomes more grounded in his "escapes".4 STARS

Entertaining story.
Excellent entertaining story. The actual premise that this fellow could accomplish what he did with his background is fiction at lts best but it was a great story to read.
