ROOT!TRooting Sponges Refill Bag (Pack of 50)

I found that, by cutting them in half and rolling/folding them up, I could use them in the Aerogarden starter tray system. Unfortunately - germination isn't great. They're probably fine for other, less precise, growing systems. I've tried the other method, of shaving the edges till they fit, and the germination was (again) poor. Compared to the proper Aerogarden sponges, where germination is over ninety percent, these give me less than forty five percent. I don't understand because they look like they should produce healthy growth.

Well now, got these to revitalise some of the pots out of an Aerogarden. They need to be cut down - cut in half is as easy a way as any to do it, stuffed into the empty AG pots and the top covered to stop light getting in - obviously leaving a hole where the seed will sprout.Price seems pretty reasonable and it's a fairly heavy duty, resealable bag.Having had a look at the Root!t system I'll probably pick up some of the trays and maybe a propagator. I'm assuming this is aimed at the weed crown, but come spring next year I'll be taking cuttings all over the place and it seems pretty perfect for that.

As soon as I opened the packet I was hit with an absolutely foul smell, the sponges are completely rotten. There's also mold throughout them, Don't use these in your garden or you'll no doubt regret it down the line.

Great germination rate using these. Only problem is that a good proportion of the seedlings seem to only get to a certain size after potting up, then just stop, the roots never really making it out of the sponges into the compost.

I tried some test sowing with a range of veg and flower seeds between these sponges and regular potting compost. In all cases the potting compost outperformed the sponges. Won't be replacing these with more when they are done. Only benefit is that they don't cause any mess if you're using them in the house, etc.

Not a bad product and certainly not a bad idea... however, providing you’re using any basic potting soil for seeds, there isn’t really any difference, I had tried and tested with several different potting soil combinations. That being said, these are handy little pods for the propagation tank, more so for cuttings than seeds.

Love these. I'd always pick these over rookwool. They are highly aerated and my cloning and germination rates in these are very very high. Its really hard to over water them. Unlike rockwool you can give it a nice squeeze and it'll pop back to it original shape. Works best when used in a propagation tray and dome.

Spugne morbide in tessuto naturale (torba e corteccia) adatte alla coltivazione in idroponica.Le dimensioni sono circa 4.5×3 cm ma possono essere facilmente tagliate se avete dei supporti di dimensioni minori come nel mio caso.Sulla parte superiore è presente un foro di circa 6 mm già pronto per il posizionamento del seme, il quale dovrà essere effettuato dopo aver bagnato e strizzato bene le spugna.Per adesso sono più che soddisfatto dei risultati ottenuti nella mia serra idroponica domestica.Il prezzo mi pare più che onesto (pagate 14.22 euro) dal momento che si tratta di 50 spugne.Molto comodo il fatto che la confezione sia richiudibile ermeticamente per preservare la durata del prodotto.Spero di esserti stato di aiuto nella tua scelta

Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto da questi radicatori e dalla confezione (già, proprio la confezione).Parto da presupposto di aver sempre usato questo genere di radicazione, cotone e lana di roccia non mi sono mai piaciuti, ho sempre usata la Lana di Cocco.Uso questo sistema da due anni e le ho sempre acquistate singolarmente dal mio rivenditore, visto che si sarebbero seccate troppo. Sono molto soddisfatto di avere una scorta sempre pronta ed alla giusta umidità.PRO:- Confezione ermetica robusta ed efficace!- La mistura sostituisce egregiamente la lana di coccoCONTRO:- Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è sufficiente (posto che si tratta di una scorta da 50), però metto in conto il costo della confezione

Die Sponges sind, wenn man sie in der Mitte teilt und so in der Dicke anpasst, für meinen AeroGarden nutzbar und damit eine günstige Alternative zu den teuren Original Einsätzen. Ich habe die Sponges in der Mitte, der Länge nach geteilt und beide Teile dann in die Halterung gestopft. Dann mit dem Schraubendreher ein Loch hineingedrückt und das Saatgut eingesetzt. Funktioniert gut. Die kleine Bastelei ist mir die Geldersparnis wert. Die Sponges riechen nicht streng und halten die Feuchtigkeit sehr gut.

Hat mich sehr schnell überzeugt. Das perfekte Medium für Sämlinge und Stecklinge. Keine Probleme mit Schimmel und bisher auch keine "Umfaller". Samen keimen schnell und wurzeln sehr gut aus und Stecklinge werden zusammen mit Wurzelgel zu regelrechten "Wurzelmonstern".

Acquistato l'8 maggio e provato il giorno stesso, in abbinamento al radicante ROOT!IT. Su 15 talee alemno 10 sembra che stiano ancora abbastanza bene, quindi penso che il prodotto abbia funzionato. L'ho testato anche su delle margotte, sempre in abbinamento all'ormone radicante, e qui attendiamo ancora i risultati... Comunque arriva in questa busta con chiusura ermetica in quanto le spugnette devono mantenersi umide. Aprendola noterete un odore un po' forte e non molto gradevole... ma sopportabile. Per il momento, data la quantità di talee ancora in vita, dò 4 stelle, più in la vi aggiorno!

Habe sie schon im Test, für Stecklinge " Goldglöckchen " im Mini Gewächshaus.Lassen sich gut Verarbeiten sind weich und feucht, etwa so groß wie ein Sektkorken.Die Tüte läst sich Dank Wiederverschlußband weiter gut aufbewahren ohne das die Teileaustrocknen. Die Stecklinge sitzen echt fest drin und haben ein Durchmesser von 5 mm.Größe von 3 mm bis 7 mm ist machbar da sie Flexibel sind.Sehr gut auch für Anfänger geeignet.LG Ralf

Costano un po'ma li trovo pratici, soprattutto se si è già fatto il primo acquisto con la serretta apposita. Unica pecca è che è bene trattarli con un po'di acqua ossigenata diluita per evitare la formazione della muffa sulle radichette che possono compromettere la piantina

Bisher 100%ige Keimquote. Man kann sich auch das vorherige Einweichen oder sonstige Vorbehandeln der Samen sparen. Direkt in den feuchten Schwamm ("peat plug"), bei Dunkelkeimern mit etwas Blumenerde das Loch "abdichten", und gut is. Bei Klonen/Stecklingen ist die Quote ähnlich gut.Und es ist ne anständige Anleitung aufgedruckt :-)

Da es in Deutschland garnicht so leicht ist günstige schwämme zu bekommen haben wir mal diese getestet. Diese sind schon feucht. Für unser Hydrosystem perse zu groß, einmal halbiert und eine neue Mulde für die Samen gemacht funktiert das aber wieder gut.

Prodotto che si presenta con chiare tracce di muffa su tutte le spugnette.Ho dovuto buttare gran parte del contenuto in quanto in avanzato stato di decomposizione.Sicuramente non comprerò piu' questo prodotto

Utilizzate per far germinare con successo, ma associate ad un sistema di idroponica anche ben ventilato (che di natura ha una base con alta umidità) si crea facilmente muffa bianca, per travaso in terra o altre tecniche nessun problema

Est ce de la tourbe modifiée ou une mousse de plastique ?bref quasi aucun résultat malgré une attention de chaque matin :pousses chétives et racines peu développéesje reprendrai donc les banales pastilles de tourbe compressée pour tomates et autres variétés potagèresUn produit à revoir par ses concepteurs qui ne sont sans doute pas experts en jardinage malgré des efforts de packaging et de texte explicatif en plusieurs langues.

Appena aperta la confezione è evidente che qualcosa non va. Le spugne emettono un fortissimo odore nauseabondo, come di marcio. In pochi secondi l'odore ha impestato la stanza.Non mi fido assolutamente ad utilizzarle.

Leider habe ich das Rücksendedatum verpasst weil ich die Tüte erst jetzt aufgemacht habe.Einige Ballen sind verschimmelt. Schade eigentlich, ich wollte sie für meinen Aerogarden nutzen undsie hätten perfekt in die Pods gepasst. Nun sehe ich mich nach einer anderen Lösung um. Schimmel geht gaaaar nicht...
