HARRIS SCPF4 Stay Clean Paste Soldering Flux, 4 oz. Jar

Works great. I think this company is great. You don't need much. Lasts forever. So why do I need a 2nd one. Someone, I know not who, borrowed the one I had, & hasn't brought it back. I've no idea who borrowed it, and my SO, who has a heart of gold, always helps everyone in need. And that's fine with me. Anyway, I like it.

With the crazy economy we find ourselves, my son and I ended up doing our own AC repair. We replaced our A-Coil and outside condenser unit with all the filters, fittings, etc. We also decided to use the solder with flux method as opposed to the silver rod brazing method. We were successful just before the hot muggy weather overtook our part of the country. This was the flux recommended and it worked just as shown in the youtube posts and worked well for us DIY'ers. We hope our joints we soldered will have integrity for many years. We shall see.

I've been trying for days to get a connection for an AC R410 line to sweat properly. Installer before me used the worst copper line set ever. I even had trouble with top grade fittings to fit properly and had to swage the lines to fit the fittings. Never had to do this before in my life. I've used this stuff before and liked it. I'll probably use this stuff from now on.

This stuff works great, it's much more liquid than paste. The consistency is similar to a good quality yellow wood glue. It's my current favorite, but wish it were just a little thicker, so as not to drip on my when I apply overhead.

This is for "Stay sil " (silver solder) using copper fittings. I've used their old product for many years which was like water. This new flux is a soft paste that doesn't drip like the old stuff. It's temperature range means you can silver braze as well as silver solder copper pieces. Excess removes easily with wet rag.

Best soldering flux out there. Works fantasic.

Used on copper with stay brite 8, first go. No leaks, great product. Very thick and easy to apply.
