Supplying Demand 68-25217-13 Compressor Sound Blanket Enclosure 12x12x19

Just installed this morning. Took approx. 35 minutes, most of that time, like most DIY projects, was spent removing and replacing (the A/C cover). I did have a minimal amount of cutting and duct taping, to work around copper tubing. Using a dB phone app, I measured a 6-7 db reduction, which was better than advertised. But tonight will be the real test, as the A/C is situated on the exterior wall of bedroom. I will follow-up soon. It is also worth noting that Supplying Demand is a great company to work with. This was actually the second delivery of the sound blanket. The first one went south pretty quickly, after discovering one of the parts was missing in that initial shipment. But the product is quality and the company's response even better. (Thanks, James!). And somewhere within an Amazon fulfillment ctr, a worker may have discovered the bottom section makes for a little extra cushioning in the break room.8-2-20...followup......definitely an improvement at night; no need to turn up tv volume when A/C comes on, no more jarring sound at beginning and end of cycle. Obviously, no way to eliminate fan noise, but overall, well worth the cost. My wife is happy, so am I. Would recommend the Supplying Demand sound blanket.

The media could not be loaded.  This item in my honest opinion works as advertised. It did made an improvement in lowering the ac comp noise. But not enough as i was expecting it to be. This blanket did not fit well because of the odd shape of my compressor and the price point is not enough to convince me to keep and pay the $80. I decided to return this product. I could not load the 2nd video bc amazon only allows 1 video upload. Sorry

I have two outside units. One was louder than the other. On the more quiet unit i can pretty much only hear the fan now. On the other unit it cut the noise drastically.Measure the inside of your unit ahead of time. These things are big.I will go back in there in a few days and tape them for a new permanent fit. I first wanted to give it some time to see if any issues arose

This sound blanket did not fit advertised. Too thick- it rubbed up against the condenser. Too tall- I measured the height of the compressor and the blanket dwarfed the compressor. Too long- this sound deadening blanket was supposed to wrap around the compressor once with a little overhang, but this one wrapped around over 1 3/4 times. Could not use the tightening straps due to being to big. If anyone ordered the small one and would like to trade, hit me up. Also when I ordered it we had crazy rain for over 6 weeks. Put me past the 30 day replacement option!

Easy to install. It’s a little bit big but cut down noise by a ton

This reduced the noise level from the compressor by 5-7 decibels

This fit well. On my 20 year old Bryant compressor I didn't have to cut it or anything. Sound dampening effects from it were modest though. Newer compressors are simply quieter to begin with and have blankets already on them from the factory.

It did not fit on my old unit I had to return. With my older unit I had too many pipes in the way because of the thickness of the blanket.
