Solid synthesising of Biblical and Systematic categories
[This is an excerpt of my full review available on my blog. The link can be found on my Amazon profile.]Köstenberger has a commentary on John and a work on John's theology, but Father, Son and Spirit still has its place. For a concise work on Trinitarian studies in John from a Biblical theological approach, this is a highly recommended work. This also is a fantastic book to see the how the doctrine of the Trinity is tethered to Biblical studies. Father, Son and Spirit would serve any interested student or teacher, or even be helpful in a class environment. It is a natural addition to the already excellent New Studies in Biblical Theology series.//Many thanks to Christine Bradley and IVP UK for a review copy of this book in return for a fair review. All words reflect my own opinion.//

This is a truly great book. A fine example of detailed biblical studies and robust theology. The authors turn over every verse in John's gospel that could refer to the Trinity and then skillfully weave together a series of reflections on this important theme. Not only a good book offering a biblical theology of the Trinity, but if you want to see how to do good theology on the foundation of biblical studies, this book is for you.
