Great shave
I love this razor. It shaves closer than my old twin razor. I've tried other razors with more blades but they feel like shaving with a plank.

Blown away again
I don’t write many reviews — I generally just don’t have the time. So if I’m reviewing something, it’s because it really impressed me. The disposable cartridge razor I remember most fondly is the original Gillette Sensor. Back in the ’90s during annual training, I had forgotten my usual Bic disposable. A fellow lieutenant handed me his Sensor disposable cartridge razor. I was so blown away that I bought one that same day. I kept using the Sensor system until the Mach 3 came out and, like many others, I got pulled into the hype. Fast-forward to a couple months ago: I accidentally left my Mach 3 at my sister’s place and had to use a Schick disposable cartridge razor with five — !! — blades. It was too wide to reach the area right under my nose, and the shave just wasn’t great, overall. That got me thinking that, maybe, it was time for a change. I did get my Mach 3 back eventually, but I’ve never loved the bottom-pivot design — don’t even get me started on the ones that pivot in multiple directions on a kind of ball at the bottom. That brought me back to the shaving experience I’ve always remembered: the first one with the original Sensor. I looked on Amazon and found the Gillette Sensor 3 disposable cartridge razor. I’m not even sure it’s still in full production, but the cartridges are still available. It uses a center-pivot head like the original Sensor, but with three blades. It arrived yesterday and I used it this morning. It took me right back to that moment in the ’90s when I first tried the original Sensor. There’s something about that center pivot that gives me more control, and the narrower head gets into tight spots far better than today’s bulky four or five-blade disposables. My face came out smoother than it has in decades. Once again, I am blown away. If you can find a Sensor 3 disposable cartridge razor, I highly, highly recommend it.

Great! Why don't they sell this in stores?
These work great on my sensitive skin. My beard does not grow very full or very fast. So I only need to shave about 3 times a week. I don't know why these aren't sold in any brick and mortar stores in my area.

A Razor’s Quiet Company
A razor, like a thought, must be precise—swift, silent, and exacting. The Gillette Sensor Excel, with its three faithful refills, performs this task with a diligence most rare. Each morning it greets the skin with measured gentleness, sweeping away the stubborn bristles as if erasing the unnecessary lines of a verse. Its grip is firm, yet unobtrusive, allowing the hand to guide it with a quiet certainty that borders on grace. There are moments—brief, almost imperceptible—when the blade hesitates or catches, a small imperfection in an otherwise steadfast companion. Yet these are few, and easily forgiven for the comfort and smoothness that follows. The refills, crisp and true, maintain their sharpness longer than many might anticipate, a testament to care in design. Four stars, then, for a tool that transforms a daily ritual into something near to poetry—a companion that slices through the ordinary with a tender and unassuming artistry.

Adequate but not the equal of "vintage handle".
The " vintage " Gillette Sensor Excel razor handle can't be found unless you pay 5-6 times what it cost on another site. This one is a 3 blade on the handle, yet the 2 additional blades are only 2 blade. It's very plasticky, light and brittle feeling, compared to the vintage model. On the plus side, the plastic tabs that engage the razor cartridge, are a little wide'r
