Ring Wedge Kit for Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) & Battery Doorbell

I use this to add an angle to our video door bell since all traffic comes at an angle to the door and not straight at it.

Using this helped me to tuck the wires on the back a bit better. It also helped with my field of view - I can now see if any packages are left on my doorstep

This IS NOT compatible with my Ring video doorbell 1080p HD Serial Numbers:G9E12512301604QS as was advertised. It does not fit at all. Fix this Amazon.Update: FixedThe one ordered was the wrong one and after righting my review Ring reached out to me and immediately corrected the issue with no fuss. I used this kit to install the doorbell on siding, which has a slant - if the camera were to be installed directly on the siding, it would point upwards a bit. This wedge corrects that, allowing the camera to point straight ahead. The package contains two wedges (I needed only one to get my camera straight), as well as three sets of screws: a pair of long screws, to use if you are attaching both wedges to the siding; a pair of medium screws, to attach just one wedge; and a set of 4 small screws, to attach the camera to the installed wedge.Several 1-star posts have said that this doesn't fit the video doorbell 2. Obviously, those buyers may have been sent the wrong item, but the one I received fits perfectly. One source of possible confusion is this: the Amazon page shows the BACK of the item (the bit that goes up against the slanted surface of the siding). There, you see only a flat surface, with 2 vertical slots (these are for attaching the wedge to the siding). It would be better if the page also showed the FRONT of the wedge (see my photo), where you can see the slots, and also the plastic "holes" where you attach the camera, using the 4 small screws. There are 8 holes, so you could use this wedge in either orientation (thick side up, which I did, or thick side down) - but you use only the 4 holes that you need.

While the wedge is super-easy to install, the fact I had to disconnect my doorbell to install it caused all sorts of problems. The doorbell no longer functions as it did and RING has never fixed the problem.I spent over 2 hours on the phone with their tech service and they have yet to fix the issue. If you install this wedge, you may lose your doorbell's functions entirely. Nothing works now.

El precio es algo alto para un par de piezas de plástico pero creo es mejor que hacer adaptaciones que no queden con lo que ya invertiste en el timbre en instalación, al final es un accesorio original.En mi caso ocupe las 2 piezas que son idénticas, solo montas una sobre otra para tener más inclinación.
